Woohoo! Today's junior hockey world cup matches were damn hell nice to be at! There were two games played, Pakistan vs Argentina and Netherlands vs New Zealand. We were actually thinking Argentina were gonna prevail in the first encounter, but Pakistan was just a class apart. Their skills on the ball, dribbling, and passing were just superior. Argentina was good, but New Zealand was just simply better. Pakistan prevailed 4-1 anyway.
So the best match was at night when the stadium's stands and makeshift seats were packed, barely any space to move. There were the neutrals sitting at one side of the stadium, and the other side were two prominent sets of Dutch and New Zealand fans cheering their team on. These foreigners sure know how to support and cheer for their team... The neutral sets of Singaporean fans were more towards the New Zealanders, and we must hate referee Barstow and his poor calls, or so we biased fans thought. New Zealand scored first, but the Dutch prevailed with their long balls and won 4-1 eventually. Sad case for the New Zealanders. But overall a great experience nonetheless. Magnificent atmosphere.
Bye~!
