unbelievable
Thursday, August 31, 2006
Although I am trying to cut down on the football postings, I have had to post something I read about soccer recently. Well you see there is these two players. They are World Cup stars. They are chased by top European clubs. They are the finest young talents in Argentinian football. They are Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez. And both are going to sign for West Ham United!
I cannot believe it. Manchester United and Arsenal are chasing Carlos Tevez. Yet Tevez is going to join a mid-table club West Ham United!?! And Javier Mascherano, also chased by Manchester United, will join West Ham too. Luckily Liverpool have faced them last weekend, and only another encounter against West Ham and their two imminent loan-signings.
West Ham are definitely much stronger now. Hopefully they can reach the top 10 of the EPL.

Finished
Saturday, August 26, 2006
No, its not that I'm finished. I've finally got things done and finished in one day. My group and I have finally finished our filming of our Art project (extended deadline is Monday). I've, for the first time, started a project earlier then usual.
Woot~ Got the bulbs and wires needed for our Science circuit project.
Well its not this that I'm blogging for. We all know, the whole 2-6 of 2006 will disband next year. We'll all go into different Science streams and Sec 3 classes. Today I have finally realised how important it is to spend the times with friends and classmates from 2-6. We won't see much of each other's
kao pei-ness and messin' around. So I think we should get together much more often, whether watching movies or doing the things that we all love. Hopefully we won't forget each other next year.
Anyway, later there'll be a FA Cup final replay at Anfield at 7.40pm. I hope Liverpool can finally get their first victory of their new EPL campaign, against West Ham. Dirk Kuyt for his first hat-trick on his debut!! Haha...I'm just dreaming.
Bye!

Projects
Thursday, August 24, 2006
Over the pass 2 years till now, I've finally realise about a little trend or cycle that is part of a type of work everyone does in schools. That is... Projects. These teachers keep giving out projects for us to complete and punctually hand in.
Well now here's the thing. When a project is given out, by any subject teacher, we usually check when's the deadline. We will think that its such a long way more. Then, when only about 1 week or a few days left to hand in, we meet up immediately. During our meet, we'll be at a loss on how to do the projects. We will find it difficult and frustrating. But at the end of the day, there will always be a way found by anyone of us to finish the projects. And we will get decent grades for that particular project.
This obviously is not the best trend or cycle for school projects that have percentages for school semesters. But if we still get from decent to good grades, its still fine for me I guess.

Results
Monday, August 21, 2006
This term has gone fantastic for me. I have the best results ever in my current secondary school life. I now understand that I'm the type that needs to study. There is no such thing as "just listen in class then okay
liao". But is it too late for me? I hope not. I'll have to keep it up next term. I can never concentration after around 30 minutes of teaching. Well this is my Common Test results for Term 3.
Geography: 26/35, Highest 28.5/35
Chinese: 39.5/70, Highest 58~/70
English: 28.5/50, Highest 37/50
Maths: 30/30, Highest 30/30
Science: 31/40, Highest 37/40
Woot~ There's the results there. Well there's one result that I dreaded. Its not academic. Its football. Liverpool drew with
new-comers Sheffield United 1-1! Would you believe that? At least I got a comforting note with the fact that Arsenal did not do so well either, drawing with
troubled Aston Villa 1-1.
Crap! Chelsea won 3-0 and Manchester United won 5-1. Hopefully either Manchester United or Liverpool can catch Chel$ea.
Bye!

The Beginning of EPL 2006/07
Friday, August 18, 2006
Its finally the beginning of the English Premier League 2006/07 season. It feels like it was just yesterday when the 2005/06 season ended. No more Alan Shearer, Dennis Bergkamp and Djibril Cisse this season. New faces like Michael Ballack, Tomas Rosicky and Dirk Kuyt will be on display for their various clubs over the course of this season. I'll obviously be supporting Liverpool, my favourite club.
Liverpool will play tomorrow against new-comers Sheffield United. They better do well. This year they should be able to challenge for the title with new strikers like Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy.
Speedy Gonzalez and Jermaine Pennant should add speed to the flanks. There's definitely much more depth than compared to last year's squad. Rafa Benitez has been spending wisely. Hopefully Liverpool can win their FIRST English Premier League title. Blackburn Rovers could do it, in 1995, so Liverpool's turn should be soon. Hopefully this seasons it!

National Day Celebration
Tuesday, August 08, 2006
Well...The only highlight I feel is nice was the 'half-day, no lesson' statement. It really brightened my day as it was kind of bad. Few blunders here and there. Anyway back to Cath High's National Day celebration. The so-called 'March Pass' was...nevermind. It was not the greatest, but it was still kind of average. NCC (Air) lines were quite neat.
Did iMedia duty for morning and afternoon. I was an extra for the morning during the celebrations. I thought I had to do duty as it was Week 7 Tuesday. 7 is odd right? Yup.... Odd week's Tuesday. Anyway afternoon's Speech Day duty was kind of screwed up and a bit of
sian. Learned from the mistakes made and hope to do better next time in other duties.

Common Test's Over
Friday, August 04, 2006
Woot!!! Finally!!! The long-awaited common test is finally OVER!!! Well I think I'll do pretty well this term, studied hard until I could not think properly but to think about the particular subjects I was memorising. This is what I think I'll do for the subjects, in order of papers.
English: Very difficult, just hope can pass! Just!
Chinese: Less difficult, should do a pass again? Hope so...
Geography: Quite easy, but can't be complacent, or else might be disappointed if bad grades! :) Maybe because I study hard? Lol...
Science: Easier than last two terms' papers. Hope can score well, like 25/40? Pls!!!
Maths: Quite easy. Everyone's saying that. Hopefully will do quite well for this.
Today the iMedia Sec 4 Excos stepped down. Well the new Excos were named. They'll be pretty good. Had loads of fun at iMedia today. Watched TAPS. The others
taupok the Ex-Excos but I was too tired to do so.
Bye! I'm FREE!!!
