I didn't get into AC, might have some benefits as well. (Not trying to console myself lah!) I've known that quite a number of people do not like AC students, cause apparently there's this stereotype they are "rich" and "snobbish", and I'll be able to avoid having to pay a lot of money.
I have mixed feelings of entering JC in general. I feel excited being able to "experience" something new, yet I'm nervous of the new surroundings. So yeah, gonna be REALLY INTERESTING.
Anyway, I checked out these music videos! My favourite country music band, not singer! I'm being clear here!
Rascal Flatts - What Hurts The Most
The first 30 seconds of the video is a little drama. So you can skip that, but it links with the rest of the video.
Very nice song, very meaningful! Haha, yah, I think someone knows what I mean here.
Rascal Flatts - Life Is A Highway (Cars - OST)
Haha, the movie may not be very nice, but their official soundtrack is! Very fitting for the movie, though.
Rascal Flatts - Take Me There
Hmm, *no comment.
And somehow, this few days' has been like some confession-about-who-you-like-in-tuition thing. LOL... I'm sorry ah you people, I don't like anyone from tuition! It's about these other two Cath High guys. So very interesting.

I'm off to AC/SA !
The last weekday of this long 3 month "Post-Os" holidays is today!
Back to school on Monday.
No more super late nights. No more waking up for the full football matches, maybe only second halves!
On the soccer front, it's the last couple days till the end of the January transfer window. Expect a lot of action, especially with like an hour or five minutes to 12 midnight on deadline day.
Bye~!

So Singapore host Jordan tonight in their second AFC Asian Cup qualifier. Much talked about is the foreign contingent playing in Singapore's national team. The likes of John Wilkinson, Dan Bennett, Alex Duric, Precious, Agu Casmir, Shi Jiayi all benefit the national team in their very own way... But if you look at the current squad to face Jordan, and most of the players are national team regulars, and take out those foreign players, leaving just the Singaporean players, what sorta team would they put out?
In goal, it'll definitely be current No. 1 Lionel Lewis, so there's no difference there, with Hassan Sunny his ever-ready back-up.
Ahead of Lewis in defence, current first-choice right-back Noh Rahman looks a very good full-back, with Baihakki Khaizan and youngster Ismail Yunos in defence. And to complete the back-four at left-back would definitely be another young Lion in Shaiful Esah, which has a sweet left-footed delivery, especially in set-pieces. So with the experience of Noh and Khaizan alongside the youthful Shaiful and Ismail, the defence looks pretty solid. Ismail's pace will definitely suit in nicely with Khaizan's reading and aerial dominance, even if the latter's a little bit slow.
In the middle of the park, Fazrul Nawaz would definitely be the right offensive winger. Defensive midfielder Isa Halim would partner the more offensive-minded Shahril Ishak in the centre of the park, with the pacey Khairul Amri on the left-flank, cutting in most of the time. Ishak could move to the right-flank with a more defensive-minded tackler in Hariss Harun to partner Isa in the engine room. So the midfield is definitely filled with young players who will develop into a formidable quartet in the future.
Up front in attack, veteran striker Indra Sahdan should partner Noh Alam Shah. Indra's finishing and intelligent movements will leave space for the offensive midfielders, while Alam Shah's strength and decent aerial prowess, plus awareness of his strike partner, will certainly allow both to play alongside each other easily. Both strikers are at their peaks already, so do have to fire in the goals regularly.
The other options in between the starting XI and the substitute bench are the likes of, as mentioned above, Hariss Harun, midfielder Tengku Mushadad, forwards Masrezwan Masturi and Mustaqim Manzur, and defenders Hafiz Ozman and Juma'at Jantan, who all can do a decent job off the bench. There is definitely quality in the Singaporean players, and they should be given a chance sometime.
Foreign-born players like Mustafic Fahrudin, Daniel Bennett, John Wilkinson and Shi Jiayi are the only ones that have proven themselves so far, while Alex Duric is nearing the end of his career, but there are many to replace him. The likes of Precious, Agu Casmir and Qiu Li haven't proven themselves much yet.
So yeah. Singaporean-born for the Singapore national team.
Bye~!

Check these OUT! This boy must be real pissed.
Click if you can't see the bottom pictures clearly I SO AGREE. Haha!
my thoughts at 11:46 pm
Hmm... No movement by the wingers, no ammo fed to Fernando Torres, and why two holding midfielders?
I felt Javier Mascherano was unnecessary for this match. Should have played 4-1-3-2, like Xabi Alonso holding the midfield with Stevie G and two wingers, plus two strikers ahead of him. I mean, this was a home game, and even if Rafa didn't see it at the start, he could have known that the Reds were dominating and should have hauled either Masch or Alonso off.
Where's the movement? Dirk Kuyt. Static. Ryan Babel. Almost useless. Alvaro Arbeloa, to be fair, has just recovered from a hamstring injury, but he did make his runs, albeit not beyond Kuyt like he used to. Andrea Dossena, fantastic going forward, delivery was decent, but still has to work on defending, fair play to him, he did have a better game. Yossi Benayoun and Albert Riera should have came on earlier, much, much earlier.
Fernando Torres + Stevie G is just not enough against teams having 10 men behind the ball! This is easily the opponent's plan, especially with a plan of 10 men defence. Using Everton's case, one central defender (ie Joleon Lescott) follows Torres, if Lescott loses him, the other defender (ie Phil Jagielka) covers. One defensive midfielder (ie Phil Neville) marks Stevie G, and if Neville loses Stevie G, the other midfielder (ie Segundo Castillo) covers Stevie G. So they are marked out! Only a moment of magic from the two resulted in the goal! And that was Stevie G running beyond Torres! So who was needed?
... Robbie Keane!
His energetic movement and running off the ball would have been useful to Liverpool, and much irritance to the Everton or "10 men" defence. It'd be hard to pick him up, yet giving Stevie G, Torres, and to a certain extent Alonso, a little bit more space to work with, to make the extra runs...
C'mon!
6 out of 6 against Wigan and Chelsea!

my thoughts at 11:45 pm
So, it's REVENGE time tonight!
At around midnight tonight, the second Merseyside derby in a week takes place - as the Lunar New Year is ushered in - this time, for a spot in the next round of the FA Cup.
I would so want Liverpool to win this trophy, although third on their priority, but nevertheless still very glamorous, as it's being played at Wembley. However, it would be nicer if Liverpool do play some fringe and youngsters for the FA Cup matches.
So the team I hope comes out tonight at the stroke of midnight: Cavalieri; Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Dossena; Benayoun, Lucas, Mascherano, Babel; Gerrard (c), Torres. Substitutes: Reina; Agger, Aurelio; Alonso, Plessis; Riera, N'Gog.
And please, don't draw! Hell NO to a replay at Goodison!
C'mon Reds!

Ok, so it's common knowledge to my friends and everyone around me that I mostly love one thing.
Football.
Well, my other passion or love is probably, music? Or seeing creative stuff, I guess...
So yeah, my only common interest with him is, music? And its a really weak common interest, I guess. So can't really talk much...
That sucks.
No wonder this two years I can't be better friends with him.
my thoughts at 8:28 pm
Ahh... This weekend, four of the top five clubs in the Premier League managed late and super late winners. Yet for Liverpool, they always have to do things differently... The Reds' let in a late, late equaliser. Sigh...
Ok, so what happened? Here's what I felt.
A combination of...
One poor referee decision, Torres should have had a penalty. Woeful substitutions. Yossi Benayoun for Robbie Keane? How much better did Benayoun do? Lucas Leiva for Fernando Torres? I know, Torres is tired. Yes, bring him off. But at 1-0 up only, why not Javier Mascherano?! Negative mindset. Why didn't Liverpool go for another goal at 1-0 up? Why sit back?
Rafa's losing it, I guess...
One game in hand for Utd Slightly higher goal difference for Utd Still having to play Utd at Old Trafford
How is Liverpool going to overturn all these? Win at Old Trafford?
Bye...

Oh well, new skin for the new year. Check this picture out! Damn funny.
It's a girl handing a flower to a soldier on a tank... Well that's just the side that soldier's gonna see! Yeah... Real good picture. Anyway, check out these music vids!
Love this song, love the vid too! All thanks to hp. LOL...
Hmm, this week will contain two Merseyside derbies! Both at Anfield, one in the Premiership, tomorrow morning at 4am, and one on Sunday in the FA Cup! I want Liverpool to do well in both! Could restart Liverpool's season if both games are won... C'mon Reds!
So this game is also the last game for Stevie G before he appears in court on Jan 23rd. Be nice, judge! Lol... So yeah, the team I expect for the FA Cup game: 1 Cavalieri; 17 Arbeloa, 23 Carragher, 37 Skrtel/5 Agger (depending who plays tonight), 2 Dossena; 18 Kuyt, 21 Lucas, 14 Alonso, 19 Babel; 9 Torres, 7 Keane. Subs (in order on likelihood of coming on, Haha): 11 Riera, 31 El Zhar, 15 Benayoun, 24 N'Gog, 4 Hyypia, 20 Mascherano.
C'mon!!!
Bye~!

Check this video out! Compilation of some of football's greatest moments. I really like the ending part of the video where they compared Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona's individual solo goals! IT really looked almost real similar.
Hmm, last minute goals from three of the Big Four last night.
Going into the 80th minute...
Stoke were leading 1-0 against Chelsea, thanks to Rory Delap (and no, it wasn't a direct throw into the goal).
Man Utd were being held 0-0 by Bolton, thanks to Jussi Jaaskeleinen.
Hull were heading for a precious point against Arsenal, with the score tied at 1-1 after Daniel Cousin had equalised.
And then, all this happened...
Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri rams home on the 83rd minute, Hull 1-2 Arsenal... Arsenalprolific striker Nicklas Bendtner scores on the 86th minute, Hull 1-3 Arsenal.. Chelsea substitute Juliano Belletti heads home from close range on the 88th minute, Chelsea 1-1 Stoke.. Man Utd forward Dimitar Berbatov scores a header from a Carlos Tevez cross on the 89th minute, Bolton 0-1 Man Utd.. Chelsea's captain Frank Lampard piledriver wins it for Chelsea on the 94th minute, with three Stoke players' closing down futile, Chelsea 2-1 Stoke.
Just to take note, the Arsenal game was later around 12+... So I'm just putting them in order if they were all played at the same time.
Now...
Can Liverpool get a late winner in their Merseyside derby come Tuesday morning?
Bye~!

I FEEEEEEL SO MUCH HAPPIER NOW THAT I'VE FINISHED THE ONLINE JAE SUBMISSION!
Haha, so yeah. Still tried ACJC Science as first choice, and SAJC Science as my back-up, the most likely one I would get into. The rest is all crap! Haha...
So it's finally time for celebration, starting with tomorrow's Cath High Open House! Go there kick socc-uh! And finally a huge burden and days of CCA-scouting and thinking has come down to those 10/12 choices. So now I can only hope and wait for that all-important SMS.
So now to soccer.
Note Plead to Rafa: Please don't sell Dann Agger!!! At least not to Milan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the future alongside Martin Skrtel!!!!!! Don't Sell Him!
I have to say, if Hull City get Steve Finnan, they'll have a hell of a right-back! So vastly experience, played at every level, the Champions League final... World Cup finals... He's reading of the game and his crosses are just great. Good on ya, Phil Brown! IF you do get him =)
Nickelback - Gotta Be Somebody

So this couple of weeks is going to be a very important week.. not just for myself.. not just for the hundreds of thousands of Singaporean students who just received their 'O's results yesterday... It's an important two weeks for probably the whole world!
Around next Tues/Wed, depending on where you are, it's the end of an 8-year long era for outgoing US President George Bush, and in comes US's first black president Barack Obama. Well, it's about time, I guess. So, it's history in the making, I guess... =)
More important stuff concerning myself... Have to scramble to JC Open Houses and make a decision on a maximum of 12 choices.. then go online and do some crap to submit the choices, all by this Friday.
Went to ACJC's Open House today with a few people. I found it was pretty good, and I would like/love to go there! Haha but only if I get in through the Science stream. And the cut-off point is around 6... about 2 pts away from my score. Argh, I'll try, but I think it'd come down to my second choice of SAJC's Science stream. I was quite impressed with AC's facilities, and that I have a 50mins direct bus ride there. ...Well, at least it's direct! So really wanna go there if possible.
Going to SAJC's Open House tomorrow. Hopefully as impressed, as that's my most likely place I'm going. Zz, that place, like quite out of the way for me, have to change here change there, then take bus...
LOL.

Thanks to someone, it's only 8, after bonus.
Well, I wanted 8, to have a fighting chance of trying to get into VJC.
So now, at least this result removes anymore dilemmas. First choice is definitely ACJC for me.
I managed to get a slightly better result than some, those I expected to own me. LOL.
Well at least it's over.
Now, JAE and online stress.

Hmm, well, it's just around 16 hours left? Argh, I can't wait yet I am super, super nervous. I'm definitely not expecting to come out into some Hall of Fame, neither the Hall of Shame as well! Haha I'm just hoping to see what best reflects my 4 years of hard work. LOL
Kk, can't take it.
Gonna use the Man Utd-Chelsea game to distract myself.
I MEAN... THIS IS LIKE THE creme de la creme of Secondary school results! The other results from Sec 1 to the last Prelim III all combined, doesn't even come close!

Yeah. Today was.. yeah. Went to pool with sw and lum at SGCC like for around 1.5 hours, only then was I told I wasn't hitting the ball right. Haha but anyway it was okay, at least I gained more playing time. And then we went to bowl... Like when we going to bowl finish, then am appeared! So he forced us to play another set... And no wonder! He owned us at the very, very beginning with a frickin' strike at the first go.
So yeah, after that, we zhaoed and walked to the bus-stop somewhere quite far from SGCC itself. And lum was making so much noise about the 'O' Level results being released on the 12th, this monday, and about it being too soon. Haha, what to do? Panic also no use. Haha so yeah, after that we went back to school and lum continued to panic with the remaining teachers who were still in school.
And then we talked to Mr GYH at the track! Mr GKY then appeared beside us, and we mingled something, before he gave, yes gave us the key to the new "Catholic High School - Indoor Sports Hall". It was quite impressing, I must say... And the view from the top balcony was quite nice.
the second floor of the Sports Hall
the view from the top
the first level of the Sports Hall
Yeah. So yeah. Cool eh? LOL... And the latest buzz currently must be the 'O's being released on the 12th of January, this coming Monday, with results being allowed to be released from 2pm onwards! Haha, have mixed feelings... But anyway, it's no use now anyway, is there?
Hmm...

Hmm, so I so need to blog about some football stuff. Starting off with the FA Cup! The fourth round draw was drawn yesterday night, and came out with some very interesting fixtures.
Liverpool v Everton Man United v Tottenham Hull/Newcastle v Millwall/Crewe Sunderland v Blyth/Blackburn Hartlepool v West Ham Leyton Orient/Sheff Utd v Charlton/Norwich Cardiff v Arsenal Portsmouth/Bristol City v Histon/Swansea Chelsea/Southend v Ipswich Cheltenham/Doncaster v Aston Villa West Brom/Peterborough v QPR/Burnley Torquay v Coventry Kettering Town v Fulham Watford v Leicester/Crystal Palace Derby County v Nottingham Forest Birmingham City/Wolves v Middlesbrough
So it starts off with a Merseyside derby, and then it'd make it two Premier League sides in two for Blyth Spartans if they can overcome Blackburn, to face Sunderland. Hartlepool will welcome West Ham, while last season's finalist Cardiff face Arsenal. Histon could face Premier League opposition if they win Swansea and Portsmouth overcome Bristol City. Villa will face lower-league opposition again with either Cheltenham or Doncaster. And this must be the best draw for lower-league opposition, and that is Kettering entertaining Fulham.
Hmm and to something that really has no link, is Liverpool's veteran defender Sami Hyypia.. well he has served Liverpool for 10 years already, putting in very consistent performances throughout that decade, and winning many major trophies uptill now, with the Champions League and FA Cup to name afew, and hoping to add to that list, the elusive Premier League title at the end of this season. So he'll definitely get a testimonial game in his name, but who'll be those who play?
To me, I think it should be the a current select of first team and a few youngsters, against the team the team that Hyypia played most with at Liverpool.
2009 Team's First-XI:
Jose Reina (GK) Alvaro Arbeloa Jamie Carragher Daniel Agger Fabio Aurelio Dirk Kuyt Xabi Alonso Javier Mascherano Albert Riera Steven Gerrard (C) Fernando Torres
Subs: Diego Cavalieri Stephen Darby Martin Skrtel Emiliano Insua Yossi Benayoun Lucas Leiva Damien Plessis Ryan Babel Nabil El Zhar Robbie Keane David N'Gog
Sami Hyypia's Legends First-XI: Jerzy Dudek (GK) Steve Finnan Sami Hyypia (C) Stephane Henchoz John Arne Riise Luis Garcia Dietmar Hamann Patrick Berger Harry Kewell Emile Heskey Michael Owen
Subs: Chris Kirkland Markus Babbel Igor Biscan Djimi Traore Stephen Warnock Nick Barmby Jari Litmanen Vladimir Smicer Milan Baros Djibril Cisse
Haha it should be a great match. And some of the retired or soon to be retired footballers like Litmanen and Smicer, and the already retired Babbel could make a rare appearance again, in the spotlight. And what's the best, it could be one of the last great match at Anfield, where Hyypia played all his Liverpool career, as a new stadium could be coming soon in the next five years.
Bye~!

Hmm, on Friday morning, went to school with sw at around 11? Saw a few teachers, Ms AK, Mdm E and a few others... Then met the smoking lum at Bishan Active, where erv was there also, playing basketball with a few 4-8 people, while mc and lum were playing cards, so we joined in! Stupid Indian Bluff. Then after that we headed to Pasir Ris by bus, first time for me, I usually take the damn slow MRT.
Then we got our bikes and went to eat at BK, then went to cycle. OMG, it was soooo so tiring! Managed to cycle, albeit struggling, to.. where? ..Tampines? I'm not sure, but it was far, and we had to go back to the chalet at Pasir Ris somemore! Haha, it was tough.
So then erv went off, and I think the BBQ started, and look who arrived! It was The Thing! Haha, it was real hilarious the way we tried to hid from him, and when he came, everyone dao-ed him and six of us went to play football at the court in the chalet. When we got back, everyone was like circled around the table, with him doing the BBQ... Wah I know damn bad, then after that he just left? Wah feel kinda guilty ar. Well so anyway, sy, sw, lum and myself started talking? And just relaxing I guess, or aka stoning...
Then...
After that, started playing various card games, for the whole night. Quite sian at times, quite funny also at some parts. After that around 5-6am, sy, jeff, and myself went to Macs for breakfast.. had to eat the hotcakes as I am having a sorethroat. Then walked all the way back to the chalet where lum and sw was back from their night cycling trip. Haha the rest ALL DUNNO GO WHERE?! Then we slept until 10, and checked out and returned the bikes, in exchange for our EZ-links. Wah our class ar, all pang. Then lum, sw and myself took bus home, while sy and samuel took MRT home...
Damn funny, we three, sitting in one row parallel to the bus, listening to MP3, stoning, not talking to each other, with so much baggage, almost half-dead with tiredness. Haha must be damn weird to everyone on the bus.
And Liverpool won 2-0! With Fernando Torres getting his comeback goal, albeit a VERY COURTEOUS pass from the innocent Stevie G! Haha..
