The final hurdle comes forth, the final battle awaits in the distance, the final exams that we have to tackle... This is our time, it is our moment... Grasp it tightly!
Aahh... Long time since I've blogged... So here's one after an hour of mugging of Add Maths... Those inspiring, or not, words up there, is just all from my head, on the spot typing, or blogging... Seriously, this is the last sprint, last stretch for all of us... The final year exams are like just 3 days away. The studying will be stepped up a further gear... So yeah... Have to study hard. I'm not gonna give up on any subjects, including Chemistry. Here's what I think, a chance, or let say, opportunity is given to us, to do Pure Chemistry. And now, just because we are not doing well, with whatever reason, we're giving up... Its definitely wrong! Or at least that's how I feel. I feel that even if we are failing or not doing so well in Chemistry, we should just study hard, try our best in the exams, and if we still get back a lousy result in Chemistry, we can't really help it, can we? At least we tried the area we were most weak in. So yeah... Good luck to everyone in their exams. The intimidating surroundings of teachers walking past at the corner of your eye, under the bright, glaring lights of the hall, well, we have to bare with it! Haha... Sian tiao...
So for English, we can't really study much. Chinese? Memorize all the good phrases and the standardized stuff. Study all 20+ essays and revise the skills. Chemistry and Physics, remember all the formula and definitions!!! Geography and Social Studies is to revise, study and memorize all the stuff from the textbook, etc... Sian... Oh yeah... And Add Maths. Just have to keep revising and practicing lor...
Now back to something I love much more over studies, SOCCER!!! Here's my weekly or "matchly" thoughts in the build-up to the game. So my prediction for Liverpool's line-up, which I will feel very frustrated doing so, nevertheless, I'll do it... Jose Manuel Reina, as usual, in goal, after Charles Itandje's poor showing and confidence-less performance at Reading, I'll doubt he'll pose much problems to Reina now, maybe later in the season when he improves. Steve Finnan for right back. John Arne Riise at left back. Jamie Carragher and Sami Hyypia in central defence. Right midfield should be Jermaine Pennant's again, after his dip in form... Or Yossi Benayoun might get another start. Steven Gerrard and Javier Mascherano in midfield, whilst Ryan Babel or maybe Fabio Aurelio could play left midfield, depending on how much manager Rafa Benitez thinks that Aurelio should play in the process of gaining back the latter's match fitness. Fernando Torres is DEFINITELY starting, he BETTER start. But who beside him? Dirk Kuyt and Andriy Voronin started last week but not in midweek, not even the bench. Peter Crouch didn't even make the bench last week but started midweek for 70 minutes. I think it's gonna be Andriy Voronin to partner Torres. However much I would like to see Peter Crouch on the bench, if there's only one striker that Benitez wants on the bench, Dirk Kuyt might be there, but I really hope its Crouch, as he provides a better Option B or Plan B or alternative than Kuyt does. So yeah... JJB Stadium, here Liverpool comes! Haha...

Aaargh... Disappointing 0-0 draw with newly-promoted Birmingham. What the heck? Fernando Torres should have started, he's just not getting the less-important games, but he needs the run of games to constantly score goals. Liverpool had no fight, no spirit, so lethargic all over the place. Now against Reading in the Carling Cup. Fringe players to start, which is positive, giving young and reserve players a chance to shine. New goalkeeper Charles Itandje should start in goal, Alvaro Arbeloa on the right, inexperienced Jack Hobbs to be paired with vastly-experienced Sami Hyypia in the centre, and maybe Fabio Aurelio at left back instead of Emiliano Insua, to give the former some match fitness. Yossi Benayoun on the right of midfield, with new midfielder Lucas Leiva partnering Momo Sissoko, and new reserve midfielder Sebestian Leto on the left, good balance throughout. Ryan Babel and Peter Crouch to start, a blend of pace and height should be positive. Babel and Benayoun can switch from time to time. Insua should come on at some stage, maybe winger Nabil El Zhar when Liverpool is winning, and maybe also Stephan Derby to provide defensive steel at the latter stages of the game.
On another note, I need to mug more for Chemistry and Add Mathematics. But how to? Seriously if you give me a method for studying those two subjects, I'll definitely follow it. Hopefully I get it right in the studying process, and get good results! Haha... And Gup, in the office boh liao right, never even tag... Haha...

Its just one... More week left to the Final Year Exams... Sian so many things to remember, dunno where to... Nope not start... Study!!! Haha... Damn lame... But seriously, there's so many things to remember and memorise. History has 20+ essays, plus the knowledge of the Source Based Questions skills. So does Social Studies, with a few essays too. The two sciences is probably just about reading every lil' shit there is... Elective Geography... Hmm... Remember those River information and stuff, dunno whether to study Coast or Natural Vegetations. Any advice? Haha... English can't really do nuts, just do the homework that shorty give. Chinese too. Additional Mathematics, aaahh need to practice more... So yeah hopefully I have the mindset to work on them.
Tomorrow is Liverpool vs Birmingham, at Anfield, at home, in Liverpool... Yeah yeah wadever you might say... Hmm... Liverpool should get back to winning ways after two disappointing draws against Portsmouth and FC Porto in the Premiership and Champions League respectively. The team I would predict would of course by Jose Reina in goal, as always. Steve Finnan should play right back. Fabio Aurelio could play left? But maybe too rush? John Arne Riise maybe? Alvaro Arbeloa may need a rest after starting all of Liverpool's games, looking slow against Portsmouth. So I'd pick Fabio Aurelio if he's fine. Jamie Carragher as always in central defence, and maybe a first team run out for reserve defender Jack Hobbs, everyone has high hopes for that guy. Jermaine Pennant to play against his old club, at right midfield, and not get sent off again... Haha... Ryan Babel on the left? Please not Yossi Benayoun, unless Rafa Benitez sees this as a lowly club, then maybe try reserve left winger Sebastian Leto? Steven Gerrard in midfield, and maybe alongside new signing Lucas Leiva to test him out? Not Mohamed Sissoko because of his poor showing at Portsmouth. Javier Mascherano might play but he played in midweek so might rest. Fernando Torres should play, maybe try Peter Crouch again... So hopefully Liverpool win... C'mon Reds!
Everton sucked against Ukrainian team Metalisk somethin'. Andy Johnson missed two penalties, damn joke! Anyway today played some 'proper' soccer, 3-4 against 3-2, for around 40 minutes at the school field, 6v6 I think. Jeffrey right defender, SY left defender, KK played in the hole behind the main striker, and played midfield plus defence also. Quite good, long legs... Haha... Sebastian played striker, just couldn't pass properly, but okay lah. AM need to work on his goalkeeping, but overall okay too. I played everywhere I guess. Central defence, defensive midfield and striker... We had two penalties, both miss! Haha... I slotted mine a lil' too left. We then let in one after a mix-up between defender and goalkeeper. We managed to score one back, through KK!! Then I scored the winning goal... Haha... I was free after Sebastian's long curling clearance after 3-2 pushed everything forward... So I managed to run and slot in the final kick of the game. :D Glad to do so... Nice work by everyone, nice teamwork and team play too...

Siantiao... Liverpool draw 0-0. Poor performance by their standards, but most might say its an improvement given their previous season form against Portsmouth, or when playing a game after the international break.
It wasn't the best of games... Most of the players weren't performing, and some of the fringe ones that got the chance to prove themselves didn't do themselves justice at all. They were poor! Firstly, the refereeing decision, more like the penalty decision. The Portsmouth striker was in an offside position when the ball was crossed, the initial tug of the shirt happened outside the box... So it shouldn't have been a penalty, the linesman got it all so wrong. If someone's offside, the game should have stopped, but obviously he missed it... Justice was, however, done when Pepe Reina pulled off that brilliant Kanu save.
Pepe Reina looked good, maybe the best player of a lackluster Liverpool side.
Alvaro Arbeloa looked slow against Portsmouth striker John Utaka, he didn't look as good as previous games.
Yossi Benayoun didn't look good at all, his half a dozen million pounds transfer fee looks to go to waste.
Mohamed Sissoko can't play as an attacking midfielder, he just isn't that type.
Andriy Voronin and Peter Crouch looked like crap too.
So Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard should have started the game, and they came on too late, maybe half time would have given them more time to adjust and influence the game. The last ten minutes they were dominated by Portsmouth. Sian... Draw isn't good enough against mid-table teams...
Back to school tomorrow...

Haha... Check this out... I didn't know what I was doing... So yeah.:
You Are 61% Tortured Genius
You are smart. Brilliant in fact. And while it's a blessing, it's also a curse. Your head is filled with everything - grand ideas, insufferable worries, and a good deal of angst.
61% Tortured Genius. What a oxymoron. Is it? Its quite true actually. On the subject that my head is filled with everything... I worry too much I guess. On the part of me being bright... I'll think about that, maybe just lazy, reflected in my average results... Haha... So yeah... Some weird thing I guess...

Supposed to put the pictures of the filming on last Thursday at East Coast Park, as part of the iMedia camp, but blogger was too slow at uploading my first picture, so I think I'll pass that one to another day... Sian....
So tomorrow is EPL Saturday football again!!! Yeah... Maybe I needed to watch EPL football as a way to distress, no wonder I don't feel I had a break last week... Haha... Liverpool travel to Portsmouth's Fratton Park to face Harry Redknapp's men. Last season Liverpool only picked up one point in the double header against Portsmouth, which is not a good sign, although the game they lost against them was when Liverpool played their second stringers. So in goal should be Pepe Reina, no doubt. The defence is a tricky one. If Steve Finnan is not passed fit, then expect Alvaro Arbeloa to fill in there, with John Arne Riise reluctantly placed at left back. If Finnan plays though, expect Arbeloa to play at left back. Jamie Carragher, if passed fit also, should partner Daniel Agger, otherwise Sami Hyypia plays another game.
The midfield... Hmm... If skipper Steven Gerrard is passed fit, he should partner Xabi Alonso in midfield. Unless Rafa Benitez wants to rotate, Javier Mascherano could have his first start of the season. Jermaine Pennant should keep his place at right midfield. Its either Ryan Babel or John Arne Riise, if Finnan plays, to fill the left midfield. I hope its Ryan Babel, as he could gain more EPL experience and yet have an opportunity to terrorize... Is it... Linvoy Primus? Or yeah... Glen Johnson!!! Haha...
Strikers... Strikers... 4 to pick from, only 2 can play, and most probably 1 benched... Fernando Torres will definitely keep his place. Dirk Kuyt should play as he can help out with the defending. Andriy Voronin might be rested all together with Peter Crouch filling in on the bench, or vice versa, depending if Rafa Benitez feels kind towards Crouch tomorrow... Haha... Hopefully Liverpool can play well...
So yeah... 2 more weeks to the Final Year Exams.... GG

So England surprisingly trounced Russia 3-0. Haven seen the highlights yet, so I don't really know if they warranted the win... Nice to see Michael Owen score 2 for England, especially against decent opposition in the form of Russia. Rio Ferdinand got on the scoresheet, surprising eh? Haha... Steven Gerrard and Gareth Barry linked up well, even if Gerrard couldn't net a goal, I'm sure he's much better than fat Frank Lampard. Clean sheet as well, second consecutive for Paul Robinson. Just hope that Owen doesn't score that much when Liverpool play Newcastle. Haha!
So the first week of term 4 if almost over, wasn't really nice to be honest. Tiring, work piling up, exam pressure, high expectations circulating my head. To be honest, again, September holiday was shit, no use, its just like term 3 is 14 weeks and that term 3 is the last term. No rest at all.
Oral was today as well. My speech was kinda decent, if not fantastic, haha... My picture description was okay, it just lacked the "relationship between people" part. Forgot 'bout it... Sian... Overall it was decent.
Michael Owen vs Fernando Torres
name michael OWEN - fernando TORRES country england - spain international caps 85 - 44 international goals 40 - 15 club newcastle united - liverpool fc club appearances 267 - 218 career club goals 139 - 85 age 27 - 23 former teams liverpool, real madrid - atletico madrid place of birth chester, eng - madrid, esp height (m) 1.73 - 1.86
Just doing some comparisons with former Liverpool favourite Michael Owen and future Kop legend Fernando Torres. Although dwarfed by the number of international appearances and goals, Fernando Torres is younger than Michael Owen, so should record more caps with Spain. Fernando Torres' goals and appearances at club level is also significantly lesser than Michael Owen's. However as usual, he is much younger than the England international. What Fernando Torres has is height and strength, and the eye to pick out supporting midfielders, unlike Michael Owen, who just uses his raw pace, and seldom passes to supporting players in better position. Only time will tell if Fernando Torres can get as much goals as Michael Owen, and emulate the likes of Ian Rush to obtain legend status at Liverpool.
Now gonna finish AS MUCH work as possible, especially those for tomorrow, and try to finish as much of those that is NOT OWED tomorrow.
Happy Birthday ER, haha boss man...

Wow... And my last iMedia camp is over. Just like that. Poof! Haha... It was quite fun. However, it didn't have the feel of the last 2 camps in previous years. I just dunno why its that way. Maybe there were lesser people? Or lesser people to frequently interact with. So anyway... It felt less strenuous than previous camps, its not like previous camps were really that strenuous... Haha... In chronological order... Heh...
Ice Breakers were okay... Same game like last time, but H.P.'s butt-writing of iMedia was a classic. Haha! Just glad its wasn't me... Relac hor!!! Amazing Race was fun, but a lil' tiring, maybe I not enough stamina... Hehh... The clues were difficult but solvable, and the tasks were fairly reasonable. The duration could have been a little bit more longer. And why did ER wrongly miscalculate my group's total prices for the items at VivoCity's Giant!!!! We were seconds away from reaching that MRT train!!! Aaahh... Nevermind lah. Night Walk at first was scary, watching the movie, Exorcism of Emily Rose. But once we were helping each other find each other's clues, and there was a lot of talking, it was more funny than scary... Haha... Scarecrow I here you say? The filming at East Coast was damn sian... Raining at times, so hot after that. Woke up so early too just to catch the sun rise... Hmm... Waterbomb was okay too. Raping of two groups on my base was damn violent and funny. Our flag and the other groups' flag that we had captured broke... The wooden long thingy broke! Haha...
And the last day was chaoslacky. Nothing to do...
Haha now another abstract from my conversation with SY the night before the camp... Controversial? A lil'... No changes in the language, the words is what it was then.:

Aaaahh... I do not have a good feelin'bout this one. Today, yeah... I went for my dreaded electone exam... Hmm... I was nervous from the time I woke up, and that was pretty much the sign that I wouldn't do as well. So for those who study music, or even if you don't, but still understand, this is the breakdown of my exam this morning. I got 5 minutes to read the supposedly 4 liner Improvisation score, but it turns out, it was double!! There were 8 lines!!! WTF?! From then on I knew I was gonna screw up... So after that I went outside to wait again, then went in after seeing the two examiners enter the Studio to check the electones etc. Afterwards I got into the Studio, kept fumbling across all my things, diskette dropped and the file a little dismantling with my cold, nervous hands. I read the Improvisation score laid out for the last time before using some delaying tactics to calm myself down. I prepared the tempo to 100, and pressed the button, but a few seconds later I decided against using the tempo and played. I made a lot of mistakes and I was probably disappointed I didn't do better for that. Next up was the two pieces of music I could prepare beforehand. I flunked that too. I was so nervous I couldn't play properly and hit the wrong notes at times. The Arrangement was the one I wished that came out, but the Repertoire that was needed to be played wasn't the one I preferred. Too slow for me! Haha... So after that the Hearing was something unexpected. The examiner was like a little kind for me... Helping me along the way more often than usual. So when she helped me twice when I hit the wrong note and wrong right hand, I really thought I wouldn't do well. After the exam, I chionged straight to school for the darn Chinese lessons.
Tomorrow is the start of the annual iMedia CCA Camp. I'm gonna start packing soon, haha... SOON! Can't wait for the water bomb, amazing race etc. And moreover H.P. requested MC to put me into the former's group, and the latter agreed. Fantastic. Hopefully it turns out this way tomorrow, confirmation please! Haha...
Kayz, Cya on Friday afternoon.

Ooh and tomorrow's my D-Day. Now's the eve of my electone exam. I just hope I can do well tomorrow. At least not screw up and just pass. Its at 8.50 tomorrow, so for those who wanna wish me luck or pray for me... Haha... Please do so!! Hehh... I'm scared for my Improvisation and Hearing... And you wouldn't believe it, after that I have to chiong right to Chinese remedial in school... Until 11 plus summore... So I hope when I blog tomorrow I'll be able to tell you of how I did, and hopefully its a positive one... Give me chance!!!
Just read a teamtalk.com article, which is the main page's top story now...
So they dub this Liverpool's very own Fantastic Four. Most might say its not as good as Barcelona's Fantastic Four, in terms of technique and creativity. But I must say this Fantastic Four works very hard, not like the lazy Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi. Dirk Kuyt, Andriy Voronin, Fernando Torres and Peter Crouch work for each other every day, every training, and every match... Haha... I just hope each can get 15 goals, no need for a 20 goal a season striker, if the former can be achieved. Just hope Peter Crouch and Andriy Voronin feel they're still part of the team even when they are not playing often...
Haha... Wish my luck yeah...

6-0
Saturday, September 01, 2007
Yes you got it right. On the aftermath of Liverpool's 6-0 trouncing of newcomers Derby County, I feel great. Fernando Torres' goal tally of the season reaches 3, after playing 4 games. Not bad, considering the very costly Andriy Shevchenko. Another Andriy, well this time 32 million times cheaper, or free, Voronin scored a goal too. Ryan Babel scored his first goal. World-class midfielder Xabi Alonso started scoring and scored one more. Here are MY ratings.:
25 Jose Reina - 7 Nothing to do... Decent saves when called upon. Peter Crouch could have taken his place in the side and play as a striker, leaving no goalkeeper.
3Steve Finnan - 7 Not much to do defensively, but got up well to receive passes and contribute to Liverpool's offensive with good crosses.
4 Sami Hyypia - 7 Good defensively. Managed to win most battles with target man Steve Howard. Nothing much to do eventually.
5 Daniel Agger - 7 Another easy day in the office for the Dane, whose only fault I could recall was committing a foul near the penalty box.
17 Alvaro Arbeloa - 8 Defensively solid. Offensively brilliant. Managed to get up the field very effectively and created the goal for Ryan Babel with a great slide pass.
16 Jermaine Pennant - 8 Was made more effective when switched to the left flank. He made many marauding runs and crossed well. Worked very hard for the team, especially when the ball seemed running out of play.
14 Xabi Alonso - 8 Another effective performance.Scored two wonderful goals to aid in Liverpool's thrashing. Controlled the midfield well.
20 Javier Mascherano - 9 Liverpool's best player, he didn't score but contributed a lot. Controlled the midfield along with Xabi Alonso. His tackling and passing ability are much to be admired.
19 Ryan Babel - 7 Although he scored his first Liverpool goal, with a great dummy and blasted finish, he looked at times finding it difficult to find his feet. Slowly and steadily he should fit in well. 9 Fernando Torres - 8 Took both his goals well. Worked hard for the team up front, closing down whenever possible. Fitting well and on the same wavelength as Dirk Kuyt. 18 Dirk Kuyt - 7 Worked hard as usual. However missed two guilt-edged chances, but his passing and contribution overall should be admired too. 11 Yossi Benayoun - 6 Not much of an impact, although tricky running was his only contribution.
10 Andriy Voronin - 7 Scored 5 minutes after coming on, looked good even on the right flank and as a right wing attacker.
22 Mohamed Sissoko - 6 Used to rest Javier Mascherano, didn't have much of an impact except for some hard running and hard tackling.
Overall a good performance. 6-0 is a nice scoreline, and their goal difference sky-rocketed after that performance. Morale boosting for the players too. Could maybe have seen Lucas Leiva as a substitute.
Oh is that right? Is that from the Daily Mail I see? A very untrustworthy source if you ask me... Ronaldinho to Chelsea next year. Flop or signing of the season? Its either his trickery is a second or two faster, or EPL defenders will slice him off the pitch with no mercy... Haha...
