Today's the last day of the June holidays. This itself was such a different experience for me... I mean, my June holidays in the past were like.. let's see... Staying at home most of the hols, playing computer games. Or it'd be going back for some extra classes. The past four years' June holidays was usually packed with
CHMA preparations, so there was still a bit of life in me, but comparing it to the past month, it's a world of difference.
I've always thought staying at home and just resting was fun. But for this June, I think I went out almost everyday on the first two weeks, and most of the time it definitely wasn't for studying. To be fair, the first few days was for extra lessons in college. Then there was the class chalet, iMedia gathering, meeting up with the
pact brothers (for whom I'm an adopted brother). I also used the time to train up my outfield hockey skills, which I feel I'm pretty decent at, considering I haven't been training that for the past months. Then there was the
junior hockey world cup, in which I only went for two times.. oops. Then there was og outing too! So yah, there were so many outings! And there was a hockey friendly against SJI too, which was kinda of a waste time.
Then when it came to the final two weeks of the hols, with the thought of the Common Tests, 20% of total promos, the fear of retaining suddenly coming into my head, I started studying more and lessen outings by a lot. Had a consultation in school too. Then those two days where, I had lunch at home for the first time in
dunno how many months, I stayed at home for the first time during June, to study...
I felt like shit in the afternoon! So draggy, restless, fatigued.. I thought I could use the time to study well, but in the end, it was really counter-productive. So many distractions, so little motivation.
Now with only less than a day away from the CTs week, we're, or particular I'm, particularly screwed for all of them. I haven't studied my H1... My econs is just pure memorisation, math isn't solid yet, physics is just as crappy as usual.
Zugh... Yes, that's my new word.
Well I really enjoyed going out a lot during the June hols. New friendships were forged, I think, and old, some not very old, was strengthen... So yeah, overall, a very good June hols.
Just don't think of the studies part. All the best and good luck to everyone for the CTs coming right up! =)
Bye~!
