So I just got back from my very, very short trip from Bintan. It was pretty nice and relaxing. Photos on Facebook! Haha lazy to post here, doubt anyone would wanna see it anyway. Haha...
I watched Liverpool win 3-1 at Eindhoven in Bintan the other day. I was really glad to see the three local products of Jay Spearing, Martin Kelly and Stephen Darby get some game time and their debuts in the UCL! Haha... Lucas and Keane impressed, finally. And timely rests and subsituted rests were given to Stevie G, Xabi Alonso, Jose Reina, Dirk Kuyt and Jamie Carragher, Alvaro Arbeloa respectively. So next its against Hull at Anfield, where goals have been a problem for the last two games! It's good to hear Phil Brown coming out to say Hull's going to attack, giving Liverpool more space, and hopefully the Reds' do defend well.
So the UEFA Team of the Year 2008 is going to be nominated soon, and here's my first eleven 'n coach votes.

I just didn't know why Stevie G was in the Right Midfield section, as C Ronaldo's there as well, how could I not put him in? It'd be too obvious that I'm bias, right? Haha...
Iker Casillas (Real Madrid, Spain): Euro 2008. That's why he's there... He has been letting in goals for fun currently with Real, but it's not his fault. It's the leaky Real defence. He has single-handedly stopped much more goals from going in. He is currently one of the best, if not the best.
Maicon (Internazionale, Brazil): He is one of the better right-backs now. He has been rather consistent for a couple
of years already for both club and country.
Jamie Carragher (Liverpool, England): Need I say anymore? Solid at the back, commands the defence well, and has a good reading of the game as well as great recovery ability.
Nemanja Vidic (Man Utd, Serbia): His height will suit Carragher's ground ability. He is a menace in set-pieces for United and is also a great foil for defensive partner Rio Ferdinand. Great header of the ball, and no nonsence, everything you'd ask of a defender.
Philipp Lahm (Bayern, Germany): Can use both feet very competently, and starred as Germany got second at Euro 2008. One of the better performancer for Bayern when they were struggling at the start of the season.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd, Portugal): So many goals last season. And now, even without a pre-season, is up and running again with United. Unbelievable.
Xavi Hernandez (Barcelona, Spain): One of the best all-round midfielder. With an eye for a pass and good defensive work when needed, Xavi has been the unsung hero in the magnificent Barcelona team this season. And the Euro 2008 MVP played a huge part with many assists in that competition to help Spain triumph.
Andriy Arshavin (Zenit, Russia): A playmaker with good dribbling ability and creativity, his performances in Euro 2008 certainly caught the eye of many. Along with the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup triumph, he will star in a top European side very soon.
Franck Ribery (Bayern, France): Bayern's best player so far, gets to the byline as often as he cuts inwards, he can play any offensive positions he is asked to fill. Very talented individual with good ability with both feet as well.
Lionel Messi (Barcelona, Argentina): His form has sky-rocketed since last season, with his goals, assists and top class performances the main reason why Barcelona is so dominant in Europe and in the La Liga currently. The best and most form player right now.
Fernando Torres (Liverpool, Spain): Magnificent form last season with many vital goals for Liverpool, and however still struggling with injury this season.
Coach:
Sir Alex Ferguson (Man Utd, Scotland) - Champions League and Barclays Premier League medals. Need anymore?
Kk... Go Reds~! Haha..
Seeya~!
