And just like that. The 2008 Beijing Olympic is over. Phew... So many world records broken, Singapore getting it's first medal in 48 years. A spectacular opening ceremony and a closing to match or very much surpass it. London will do well to even equal what Beijing had done, well... They'd better think of something that doesn't require so much manpower! Haha... I don't think they'll be able to get so many volunteers for the Olympics in 4 years time. So well, a magnificent Olympics, I must say.

Ahh... A picture says a thousand words. Well this one, shows the Reds' earning three points! Haha err, lame... yah. So yeah! The
Midas finish from Mido gave Middlesbrough a well-deserved lead with 20 minutes to go. Liverpool were playing poorly up to that point, and looked as if they had carried such a poor form from the Sunderland game. I was really pleased to see Rafa so positive this time 'round, unlike in previous games when they were losing, and bringing on youngster Nabil El Zhar for defender Alvaro Arbeloa to try to change the game. El Zhar brought some direct running, but with no end product unfortunately.
The only thing referee Mike Riley did right in the game was the excellent advantage given to Liverpool when Xabi Alonso's attempted cross hit Gary O'Neill's arm. Jamie Carragher reacted the quickest and dodged Mido's dispossession attempts to ram a ball towards Ross Turnbull's net. Well... it deflected off Emmanuel Pogatetz and this wrongfooted the goalie, and Carragher scored for Liverpool! Haha... Then a long thump into the box from Alonso saw the ball fortunately hit Robbie Keane's knee into the on-rushing Steven Gerrard, who placed the ball so well into the net. 2-1 it finished, albiet only in the 94th minute. =)
Such a nice boost as I start to take on the prelim III this week.
Bye~!
