I was just watching the 1994/95 Premier League game between Arsenal and Liverpool on GoalTV1. That game where Liverpool won, I think... 4-1, which was highlighted by the fastest Premier League hat-trick ever, Robbie Fowler's just before 5 minutes. Liverpool had a team that featured,
Fowler himself, Ian Rush, Steve Mcmanaman, Jamie Redknapp and, believe me, goalkeeper David James.
Yes the one at Portsmouth now. Liverpool then were playing so fluently against an Arsenal side that had Ian Wright, David Seaman, Lee Dixon, Nigel Winterburn, Martin Keown and such. Even after scoring the first goal, first of three for Fowler, Liverpool still managed to pass the ball around smoothly. The fleet-footed winger Mcmanaman could torment both full-backs with his trickery. Fowler's movement in the second goal was just magnificent.
And comparing back to yesterday's game against Arsenal, Liverpool didn't look as good. They boasted a team that had, counting fit ones only,
Dirk Kuyt, Steven Gerrard, Javier Mascherano, Jamie Carragher and Jose Reina. Kuyt was playing out of position, but he was supposed to be decent on the right. Liverpool got the goal early on, which Rafa Benitez would have loved, after Steven Gerrard's scorcher of a shot bulged Manuel Almunia's net. Liverpool were leading a free-flowing table toppers Arsenal who boasted Cesc Fabregas, Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor, Aliaksander Hleb and such. Arsenal replied excellently, constantly spreading the play, attacking the Kop End with slick movement and their trademark passes. Even with the immense Mascherano dealing with one threat, an unfit Xabi Alonso could not help him by dealing with the other ones. Fernando Torres could not keep up and eventually got injured, Peter Crouch's introduction made the latter look more effective, with two shots at around the same place, a knockdown for the on rushing Gerrard.
Why was there no Lucas Leiva or Momo Sissoko on the bench?Anyway away from soccer, I have to go make
me IC. The place that makes the IC,
watever you call it, gives me like only about 15 days to make my IC. A day before my birthday till two weeks after. Can't they like give one month? And they are
kinda scheming too, only putting "Monday to Friday (8.00am-4.30pm) big enough for most to see, whilst a small little "(8.30am-1.00pm) Saturday". They want all of us to cramp on weekdays. I have no time this week and probably next.
There's remedial that was supposed to happen today, but thanks to some stupidity, it was postponed to tomorrow. Wasted my time in school today. And so tomorrow's the make up for todays. Thursday and Friday are History remedials in the morning, with the following Monday having History again plus a mass Social Studies lecture.
Sian...
Bye~!
