Sian tiao... Liverpool draw 0-0. Poor performance by their standards, but most might say its an improvement given their previous season form against Portsmouth, or when playing a game after the international break.

It wasn't the best of games... Most of the players weren't performing, and some of the fringe ones that got the chance to prove themselves didn't do themselves justice at all. They were poor! Firstly, the refereeing decision, more like the penalty decision. The Portsmouth striker was in an offside position when the ball was crossed, the initial tug of the shirt happened outside the box... So it shouldn't have been a penalty, the linesman got it all so wrong. If someone's offside, the game should have stopped, but obviously he missed it... Justice was, however, done when Pepe Reina pulled off that brilliant Kanu save.
- Pepe Reina looked good, maybe the best player of a lackluster Liverpool side.
- Alvaro Arbeloa looked slow against Portsmouth striker John Utaka, he didn't look as good as previous games.
- Yossi Benayoun didn't look good at all, his half a dozen million pounds transfer fee looks to go to waste.
- Mohamed Sissoko can't play as an attacking midfielder, he just isn't that type.
- Andriy Voronin and Peter Crouch looked like crap too.
So Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard should have started the game, and they came on too late, maybe half time would have given them more time to adjust and influence the game. The last ten minutes they were dominated by Portsmouth.
Sian... Draw isn't good enough against mid-table teams...
Back to school tomorrow...
Bye~!
