Liverpool leaves Villa Park with all 3 points after a hard fought game. It's their first game of the season and its already their first away win of the season, not bad there... Considering it took 7 away games for Liverpool to register their first away win, thrashing Wigan 4-0 last season. Dirk Kuyt and new-boy Fernando Torres looked good upfront, linking up well with each other. A Steven Gerrard through ball found Kuyt, who dummied it into the path of Torres. He slipped but managed to get his shot away, forcing Villa's goalie to parry... Kuyt rescued the ball and centered it back in, however it found the feet of Villa defender Martin Laursen, and he scored an own goal. Villa hit back after the 80 minute mark with a Gareth Barry unstoppable penalty, Jamie Carragher adjusted to handle the ball in the box. However 3 minutes from time, Steven Gerrard curled a delicious free-kick home to give Liverpool all 3 points.Good win... Quite tyco... Heng sia'l...
