2006/07season
Wednesday, May 30, 2007
So this post will be
kinda long, as it would be my blog's little round up of the past English Premier League season, 2006/07 to be exact...
Yeah... I have been impressed with some clubs this season, surprised at some points as well. Such as Manchester United, to overhaul Chelsea with just one signing of Michael Carrick last summer, or with Steve Coppell guiding his unfancied Reading side to a good first season at the top with little budget, or even with Tottenham Hotspurs, who managed to pick themselves up after a big blog last season to maintain their 5th placing. And I was also disappointed that Liverpool could not have a longer fight for the English Premier League title... So first this are my blog's players' of the year, in their respective positions...
Haha.:
MY BLOG OPINION of Goalkeeper of the Year: David James (Portsmouth)
MY BLOG OPINION of Defender of the Year: Ricardo Carvalho (Chelsea)
MY BLOG OPINION of Midfielder of the Year: Michael Essien (Chelsea)
MY BLOG OPINION of Striker of the Year: Dimitar Berbatov (Tottenham Hotspurs)
Such as David James' revival on the big stage, Ricardo Carvalho and Michael Essien being Chelsea's saviour this season, and lastly Dimitar Berbatov's stunning goalscoring techniques and quantity, these are why I have preferred them.
MY BLOG OPINION Team of the Year:
David James (Portsmouth)(GK)
Ricardo Carvalho (Chelsea)(DF) ...... Nemanja Vidic (Man Utd)(DF)
Steve Finnan (Liverpool)(RB) ...................................... Patrice Evra (Man Utd)(LB)
Paul Scholes (Man Utd)(CM) ...... Michael Essien (Chelsea)(CM)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd)(RM) ................................ Ryan Giggs (Man Utd)(LM)
Didier Drogba (Chelsea)(FW) ...... Dimitar Berbatov (Tottenham)(FW)
So this is my English Premier League team of the year. I just hate it when people disagree, but then again how can I stop
'em? If you do disagree in any player or position, just tag. But if you agree a lot with anyone of
'em, tag too!
Haha... So finally, the best of the best/worst that I believe are, listed below.:
MY BLOG OPINION of Best Manager: Sir Alex Ferguson (Man Utd)
MY BLOG OPINION of Best Team of the Year: Reading FC (ENG)
MY BLOG OPINION of Best Young Player of the Year: Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd)
MY BLOG OPINION of Best Player of the Year: Michael Essien (Chelsea)
MY BLOG OPINION of Most Expensive Flop: Andriy Shevchenko (Chelsea)
So thats a rap peepz... My opinions' and ratings of the Liverpool squad is below in three other posts, so go check 'em out too! Tag your own opinions at my tagboard... Yeah... :D

Now are the strikers... Some have performed well but others have just flunked this 2006/07 Barclays Premiership season...
LOL.:
Peter Crouch
Has had a much better season than the last one. Magnificent
finishes, against Fenerbache and Bolton, in which he
bicycle-kicked the ball into the net. A much improved
striker, Liverpool's top scorer in all competitions this
season, even though he has been subjected to most of Rafa
Benitez's squad rotation policy. 7.5/10
Craig Bellamy
Added much needed pace to Liverpool's front line and as a
whole, however his finishing was questionable this season.
Also added a different dimension to Liverpool's play and if
he had managed to finish off more chances, he might have
been a permanent fixture in Liverpool's side. 6/10
Dirk Kuyt
His hardworking and never-say-die attitude made him a
favourite in Liverpool. Top scorer in the Premiership, but
only with a decade or so of goals. He can adapt to different
striker partnerships, either with Peter Crouch or Craig
Bellamy, and this could be the main reason why he is not as
rotated as the other two are. 7/10
Robbie Fowler
Brought in to coach the younger strikers on finishing, and
also hopefully get some vital goals when coming on late in
games. However, his penalty taking skills were his only
contributions, missing sitters against Fulham and other
clubs, eventually proved to be his downfall and is confirm
to leave the club this summer. 5.5/10
MY BLOG OPINION of Liverpool's Best Striker: Peter Crouch

This is Part II of my opinions and ratings of Liverpool players after the 2006/07 Barclays Premiership season, and this time its the midfielders in the firing line...
Heh.:
Jermaine Pennant
Started the season slowly but gradually improved to be a
good decent squad player for the right wing role. Good
crosser of the ball and a decent dribbler. Hasn't had a
bad first season at Liverpool. Highlight for him was his
magnificent goal against Chelsea. 7/10
Steven Gerrard
Not as good as last season, especially reflected in his
goal tally. However still a good season for Liverpool's
skipper. Influenced some key games. Pushed to the right
wing for some games to accomodate Mohamed Sissoko, xabi
Alonso or Javier Mascherano, still manages to produce a
good performance on every occasion. 7/10
Xabi Alonso
Hadn't have a good season in terms of fulfilling his
ability of passing the ball, unlike previous season. But
still manages to pull the strings in midfield for Liverpool
, has to work on his defensive game. Nonetheless, a good
performer this season for the Reds. 7/10
Mohamed Sissoko
Played out of position for most games, such as attacking
midfield. He could not really have that attacking edge
Rafa Benitez had been looking for. More of a defensive
midfielder, as highlighted against Barcelona, he produced
two great performance over both legs and managed to
neutralise Deco, Xavi, Ronaldinho, and such. 6.5/10
Javier Mascherano
Signed on an 18 month loan deal from West Ham United, Rafa
Benitez had managed to get the best out of him, playing him
in a defensive midfield position. Now more preferred to
partnering Steven Gerrard, to allow the Liverpool skipper
more freedom to bomb forward, leaving his defensive duties
to the Argentine, as usual partner Xabi Alonso is more
attacking minded. Overall a good signing. Should be
acquired permanently for Liverpool. 7.5/10
Luis Garcia
The forgotten man at Anfield, following his injury which
kept him out for 6 months. Managed a few good and bad
performances before the injury. Scored quite a few goals
to aid Liverpool during their short-lived title chase.
Hopefully more to come from him next season, and that he
stays fit. 7/10
Mark Gonzalez
Goals against Tottenham and Fulham in the earlier part of
the season showed promise, however his performances as a
left winger had been poor so far. Can't beat his man with
his undoubted pace, and can rarely get a decent cross in.
Has to seriously work on those points to make it big in the
Premiership, or he would be shipped back to the La Liga.
5.5/10
Harry Kewell
Injured for the whole season. But the 15 minute cameo he
had against Fulham showed glimpses of his undoubted quality
. Looked much better than Mark Gonzalez. If he stays fit
next season he should look to cement his left wing position
, and why not? 6/10
Boudewijn Zenden
He has been poor up till that game against Chelsea, in
which he shined playing against Paulo Ferreira. Other than
that game, he hasn't had a good enough season to stay at
Liverpool. Might leave at the end of the season. 6/10
MY BLOG OPINION of Liverpool's Best Midfielder: Javier Mascherano

So after Liverpool endured a tough 2006/07 Barclays Premiership season, and although they finished trophy-less after that heartbreaking Champions League final defeat. These are my ratings and opinions for the defensive department of Liverpool...
Haha.:
Jose "Pepe" Reina
This goalkeeper has had another good season at Liverpool,
however not as good as the last one, but nonetheless has
produced some breathtaking saves and performances. A couple
of blunders, most noticeably against Manchester United in
the dying moments highlighted the little bit more he needs
to add to his game. 8/10
Jerzy Dudek
Replaced by the former after his heroics, however he showed
magnificent loyalty to stay at the club to provide an
experienced back-up. But when given the chance, especially
against Arsenal in the two local cups, he didn't really
shine as much, due to lack of match fitness? Maybe so...
5.5/10
Steve Finnan
Another outstanding season at Liverpool. He might not make
headlines compared to Steven Gerrard or Peter Crouch, but
he certainly gives Liverpool stability at right-back. Very
steady and consistent, rarely has a bad game, just undermines
his undoubted quality. Could well be the best Premiership
right-back. 8/10
Alvaro Aberloa
This January signing became an instant hero by keeping the
likes of Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi of Barcelona quiet in
their Champions League game, however at left-back. At right
-back, his favoured position, his performances has been
poor. Most interestingly, his first goal for the club
against Reading, was playing at left-back. 6/10
Jamie Carragher
Like Steve Finnan, he has been another outstanding and
consistent performer for Liverpool. At center-back, he is
an integral part of this Liverpool side who has conceded
little goals this term. A definite unsung hero, without him
, Liverpool would not been so defensively sound. 8.5/10
Daniel Agger
Looks like a bargain signing for Rafael Benitez. Sprung
ahead of the pecking order at the heart of Liverpool's
defence, leaving Sami Hyypia regularly starting on the
bench. He has been a good and consistent performer, and
proves he can score a goal or two, most importantly against
Chelsea in the Champions League Semis. 7.5/10
Sami Hyypia
Although he was not first choice center-back alongside
Jamie Carragher, this veteran defender sat patiently on
the bench, and when called upon, still looked reliable and
defensively aware and sound. Lacks the pace, but more than
makes up for it with his intelligent positioning. 6.5/10
Gabriel Paletta
This reserve team youngster from Argentina hasn't have the
best of seasons at Anfield. Limited opportunities were
handed out to him. And even when he was presented with
those opportunities, he spurned most of it and doesn't look
like a good defender to call upon in an event of an injury
crisis. 5/10
John Arne Riise
Better in terms of an attacking point of view than a
defensive one, John Arne Riise has another decent season at
Liverpool's left-back. Managed his usual contributions of
goals, but has to work on his defensive game. Looks better
at left midfield. 6/10
Fabio Aurelio
Rafa Benitez's ex-Valencia player arrived on a free transfer
last summer, and has proved to be good enough for the
Premiership. Has a good left foot, versatile, and can take
set-pieces. More of a left midfielder, still has quality
at left-back. 6/10

YEAH!!! I'm back from Sec 3 Camp!!! It was okay. The first campsite
sucked. The food
sucked. The tent no the beach
sucked. The toilet
sucked. No offence but it really did.
Haha I know I damn bad.
Lol... Cycling was a total of 52km. I finished the first part of 17km. But thrice I had cramp. First time I tried to continue after I got my knees iced. But the second time it cramped I couldn't take it anymore so I took the bus behind. As usual
kenna suan when I got down at the second stop. The third leg I tried again, but not less than 1km, I got the worse cramp, with my leg stiffening up, could not even stand, damn pain
sia... Got it iced and some spray to numb the pain or
somethin'... The second campsite was much better. We were very fortunate to be able to sleep in their meeting room as it was raining heavily so late at night, thus not allowing us to pitch our tents.
Heng sia'l... Who should I thank for that?
Haha... The food was much better, the toilet was much better too, and of course that night of sleeping was damn
shuang according to camp standards.
Haha... Rafting was
damn fun. The first and third level for gaining confidence for river crossing was damn fun. Although the river was brown and pollute, white water rafting for 6km was damn fun.
Haha... Flying fox was also damn thrilling, but I was damn disappointed I let go of the rope due to the strong rapids. Damn it... Well that's life I guess... Full of ups and downs... Glad to be back... I used only RM10.. Here's two random pictures on the way there and back.:

If only we were going to KL..

The big banner in the hall on the last night when we gathered as one group...
After this Sec 3 Camp on a foreign land, I value the importance Singapore have imposed on us Singaporeans to keep Singapore clean and green. I also value more what Singapore has and how other countries' aren't as lucky...
Yeah...
Reading all the soccer news and especially Liverpool's, with them decaring interest in so many quality players, I just hope we can get the majority of them, and challenge on at least the Premiership front next season.
Haha...
So damn extremely happy that the Sec 3 Camp's over.

Well its over. I can't do anything. They can't do anything. But questions will be lingering above the heads of the referee and Rafael Benitez. Why couldn't Benitez bring Craig Bellamy and Peter Crouch earlier? Why did the referee stop the game so many times for silly trivial fouls?
Aiya... I know I can't blame the referee... But then again... What's up with Benitez yesterday? Where was all his European tactics? The players gave their 100%. But some performances should be questioned, so these are my ratings of the players.:
25. Jose Reina (GK) - Couldn't do much with any of the goals... 7/10
3. Steve Finnan - Joined the attack well, but still steady... 6.5/10
23. Jamie Carragher - Had a steady game, but would have been better if he had cleared his lines just before the Andrea Pirlo freekick that lead to the goal, looked very tired too... 6/10
5. Daniel Agger - Could not do much for either goals too, managed to get the flick on for the Dirk Kuyt consolation goal... 6.5/10
6. John Arne Riise - Joined the attack well too, and should have had a better game... 6.5/10
16. Jermaine Pennant - Was playing quite well in the first half, but his crossing and contribution in the second half
sucked... 6/10
14. Xabi Alonso - Did not have the best of games, not attacking flair whatsoever... 5.5/10
20. Javier Mascherano - Liverpool's best player on the night... Was great at shackling Kaka and contributed with some fine tackles...
8/10
32. Boudewijn Zenden - Poor through out the game... 5/10
8. Steven Gerrard (C) - Tried hard to drive the team on, but equally towering performance... 7/10
18. Dirk Kuyt - Scored Liverpool's consolation goal, steady performance... 6.5/10
Substitutes (Used):
7. Harry Kewell - Was better than Zenden, but just... 6/10
15. Peter Crouch - More dangerous and tested Dida with a good shot... 6.5/10
2. Alvaro Aberloa - Didn't do much... 5.5/10
Manager Rafa Benitez - Extremely poor after a brilliant first half. Although his first half tactics were spot on, he screwed it big time in the second. Craig Bellamy and Peter Crouch should have came on earlier to give more flair to the attacking line... Well... What has happened to Benitez's brilliant European mind?
I just wondered why Peter Crouch could not come on earlier, and that why didn't Craig Bellamy come on earlier too? The
oldies Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta would have been unable to cope with Bellamy's pace... And one last question for this lost final... 3 Minutes of extra time, one or two substitutes made, but only 2 minutes and 44 seconds played. What the
bloody hell was the referee doing? Check this
out. Why was a German referee picked? Doesn't FIFA know about the great rivalry between Germany and England? What about picking a Russian referee? A Dutch one? Or a Swedish one? Why German? Is it the best they've got?
The only ones that I think did well on the night were the Liverpool fans. AS ALWAYS, there always cheered their team on even when they trailed a goal and even another goal... They sang like they would if their team was winning, and as evidence against Benfica in the last 16 in last season's Champions League, when Liverpool were definitely out of the competition, the Liverpool fans still sang their hearts out, singing Liverpool's famous song "You'll Never Walk Alone...". I can bet you, you would never see another bunch of fans in the world. Expect Chelsea's fans to sing when the Blues are losing? I don't think so... They'll just be sulking their asses off... Great job Liverpool fans in Athens.
Disappointed at Rafa Benitez, the German referee and his decisions... But can't do anything about it...
Congrats AC Milan, you're the (un)deserving 2007 champions...
Just wait... We'll be back...
Bye~!

And the Champions League Final 2007 is just a little more than 8 hours from kick-off. AC Milan vs Liverpool... The repeat of the 2005 Final, where Liverpool came back from a 3-0 first half deficit to equalise 3-3. And the rest was history, with Liverpool coming out tops on one of the greatest finals in World Football. Liverpool can do it again!!!
C'mon Reds!!! Give me something to cheer about during my Sec 3 Camp...
Haha... So this is what I predict to be Liverpool's line-up to match AC Milan's tomorrow.:
Jose Reina (GK)
Steve Finnan ... Jamie Carragher ... Daniel Agger ... John Arne Riise
Jermaine Pennant ... Xabi Alonso... Javier Mascherano ... Boudewijn Zenden
Steven Gerrard (C)
Dirk Kuyt
Substitutes:
Jerzy Dudek (GK) - Least likely to come on, unless Reina is injured...
Sami Hyypia - Probably come on only if Carragher or Agger is injured, or the last few minutes, if Liverpool are defending a lead...
Alvaro Aberloa - Would not come on, only if Finnan or Riise gets injured...
Mohamed Sissoko - Has a reported hamstring problem, but should play if needed, only if Mascherano gets injured...
Harry Kewell - Has to come on some stage, to replace probably Zenden...
Craig Bellamy - Should come on to add pace and run at the tired Milan backline, especially the slower Maldini...
Peter Crouch - Should come on too as he has the height and could be useful with the crosses from the wings...
So this is my squad predictions. I really, really hope that Liverpool win the Champions League. Like what Jamie Carragher said, "We're doing it for the fans..." Hopefully they fulfill that wish...
By the way... My group for the Sec 3 Camp is 4E... So if you are the same group as me, cycling and rafting, carely tag... Thanks... Haha...

Ooohh... The Sec 3 Camp is just this Saturday!!! Its a four day camp, as you can see in the below picture. The location is in Malaysia. Never camped before outside of Singapore, so this is a first time. Looks like there's a lot to bring...
Yeah...
Hmm so I'll only be back on Tuesday afternoon, even then I don't think I'll be in the right shape of mind to use
da computer. Just waiting for the Sec 3 Camp to come and go... Hopefully I can get the activities I wanted, rafting and cycling. Or else I'd be placed in another group. Doesn't look to good though, heard a lot of people also choosing that group, so hopefully...
Yeah...

So this is the booklet for the Sec 3 Camp...
So yeah tomorrow they'll be briefing us about it... So okay... And I'll blog about Liverpool and their Champions League final game tomorrow...

Chelsea tactically out-classed Manchester United yesterday night. They defended for their lives. The Blue men pressed hard. They worked till they were tired. And four deft flicks saw Didier Drogba sneak a goal pass Edwin van der Sar. Manchester United, by truth, were just playing for themselves. Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, for all to see, were just trying to score and create some
sorta history for themselves, not for their team. Chelsea played as a team and worked as a team. They won the FA Cup, Manchester United walked off dejected.
Chelsea have won the FA Cup and League Cup. Now its Liverpool's turn to shine. On Thursday morning, they'll be fighting for their lives against the mighty Italian AC Milan. Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Steve Finnan, Daniel Agger, Javier Mascherano, Dirk Kuyt, Peter Crouch and Jose Reina have to turn up and impose themselves into the game. They'll have to battle against the creative forces like Kaka, Clarence Seedorf, Filippo Inzaghi and Andrea Pirlo.
C'mon REDS!!!
Haha... Sounds damn

ITS ABOUT TIME THEY
TIO-ED. Always thinking that they are always right in Science concepts, and always scolding the Science teacher. They really deserved it. Heard the loud scolding from one of the discipline teachers to those two. Looked at my friend's blog about it and they apparently used dry ice to make some
sorta bomb to
dunno wat bomb their own class.
Kinda weird. But as defiant as ever, they defied the teacher. And finally... Finally... They got what they deserved. A big scolding. I just don't get it. One doesn't talk and uses foolscap paper to communicate. WHAT A BIG WASTE OF TREES.
They still dared to accuse the discipline teacher of theft, as he took their bomb, notes and other pieces of
crap.
WOOT THEY ARE IN FOR IT BIG TIME... Sorry if I have insulted or
suan or agitated anyone... But this are the facts and they needed to wake up their idea.
It was about time they got scolded, big time. Acting like they are
damn zhai...
Sigh...
Aiya... On a lighter note, I really hate being in that sorta dilemma situation, which determines whether I should help a friend who is in need of help, but of the wrong sorts, or really help him in the good and legal way by actually not helping and letting him face the music. And as usual I get the usual insults of being a bad friend as such. Just happy that it turned out fine. Must sort these sorta things out.

The Engilsh Premiership 06/07 Season is finished!!!
Its' over! All the fights from all over the Premiership table is done. Relegation, UEFA Cup, and Third place are all sorted out. So West Ham and their controversial but skillful Argentine striker Carlos Tevez rescues the London club again, with that goal against the Champions Manchester United. Man Utd played so fancy during the game, had the extra pass when they could shoot, I thought I was watching Arsenal or
somethin'...
And another game going on was Sheffield United vs Wigan Athletic. That game also decided who would go down, and with West Ham winning 1-0, Wigan won a penalty late into first half injury time, and they managed to convert the penalty. It ended that way and its Sheffield United that gets relegated. Wigan
lucky lucky sia... West Ham, I
gotta say, well done...
Portsmouth versus Arsenal sparked some controversy. Niko Kranjcar's goal should have counted, and with Julio Baptista missing a 40th minute penalty, it stayed 0-0, with Portsmouth unable to get into the UEFA Cup and that Arsenal had to settle with 4th place. Liverpool drew 2-2... Quite
okay lah... Finally near full-strength squad with Robbie Fowler's final league game, he was captain. And when applauds rang around Anfield when he was substituted off at the 88th minute, who would have thought Liverpool would get a penalty a minute later. Sadly Robbie Fowler was subbed a minute too early, thus no choice but Harry Kewell would have to take it, and he converted it... 2-2 the final score...
Heng ah... Liverpool 3rd.
So hopefully Harry Kewell will have some impact in the UEFA Champions League Final against AC Milan, and hope that Liverpool repeat the 2005 Final feat. Chelsea versus Manchester United in the FA Cup Final.
C'mon Man Utd!!! Chelsea, 1 or 2 local cups after spending almost fifty million pounds?

Sian... Sian... Sian...!! Fail physics
sia... Just by two marks!! Fortunately, that exam paper only consisted 70%, and the rest are 20% for class test, which I passed, and 10% for SPA, which I think I would do well, or
okay... So hopefully I'd still pass overall. Chemistry was an overachieving subject for me, I had a
B4, 63.5/100 to be exact, it relieved me of my anxiety that I would fail both sciences. For my Chinese, I had an overall of 89/140, which concludes 64%/100%.
Aaahh!!! 1 more percent to get
B3.
Aiya... Never mind
lor...
On a brighter note, I scored a header today along with 3 other "pile-driver" type goals. 4 in total, and my team won 11-10 on golden goal.
Haha... My fourth header goal in my life. Could had have another header goal in that same game had it not hit the crossbar.

Okay okay lah... The first paper that was given back was English Paper II... And I passed! 27/50 for that piece, and its Comprehension and Summary,
summore I would fail it rather badly... Still waiting for Paper I, the Composition and Report Writing component.

Too many soccer stuff on this blog. So I'll add another one! And I'll show you some other
kinda interesting stuff, however, I found interesting, if you don't, please don't start ranting in my tagboard... Greatly appreciated...
"Liverpool's love affair with the European Cup continues..." This is Liverpool's Champions League win against Chelsea, the
key highlights of the game.
I came across this from Yahoo!. I really am interesting in all these famous hoax and myths. So this is the

line-up
Haha... Here's my line-up I hope see against Fulham. Liverpool should rest most of their Anfield heroes who defeated
Chel
s
ki. Youngsters should be given the chance to shine and gain valuable experience, whilst fringe players should get a run-out.:
Daniele Padelli
Alvaro Aberloa ... Gabriel Paletta ... Sami Hyypia (C) ... Emiliano Insua
Nabil El Zhar ... Mohamed Sissoko ... Xabi Alonso ... Mark Gonzalez
Robbie Fowler ... Craig Bellamy
Substitutes:
Jose Reina (GK) - about time he started spectating a game... Haha..
Jack Hobbs - should be given a run out, if possible...
Paul Anderson - could come on for Bellamy to push El Zhar up alongside Fowler...
Harry Kewell - get a game and much match fitness... might prove to be vital for Athens...
Craig Linfield - young striker could prove to be a better Peter Crouch, a solid 15 mins...
For the first time I'll be saying this. Rafa should rest Boudewijn Zenden... LoL... Really!!! Boudewijn Zenden should be given a rest alongside stars like Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, John Arne Riise, the ever-consistent Steve Finnan, goal-hero Daniel Agger, Peter Crouch and Dirk Kuyt. He really worked hard against Portsmouth and played very well against Chelsea and their right-back Paulo Ferreira.
Magnificent stuff. Fulham awaits. Play well. Impress da manager. Fight for your Athens' place, even on the bench... Haha... Get 3rd! More money!!! Haha...

kinda fine... Whilst on Monday it would be a
lil' "holiday", as its the subject papers of Music, Chinese and English Literature. I don't take any of them!
Haha...
I'm so happy that Liverpool got through to the UEFA Champions League Finals, in Athens. Still remember waking up at 4.20a.m. on Wednesday morning to see Liverpool winning 1-0, and I at least knew they had a chance as the aggregate was even, with no away goals advantage for either side. Dirk Kuyt's extra time ruled out goal should have stand, he was
damn onside at the time of contact between Xabi Alonso and the ball, Paulo Ferreira played him onside. Jose Reina saved Geremi and
cheater Arjen Robben's penalties, a
lil' bit of retribution for Robben's theatrics and divings since he came to England. Frank
world cup flop Lampard scored his penalty, wonder why he can't against Portugal in June 2006. For Liverpool, surprise taker Boudewijn Zenden hit the inside of the net, Xabi Alonso hit the ball too hard near Petr Cech's hand, Steven Gerrard slotted home and sent Cech the wrong way, and Dirk Kuyt scored with a hard shot that beat Cech hand's down.
Then as usual after the match, Jose
joke Mourinho was ranting that his side was better
and
blah blah... But who scored a goal with a well worked free-kick? Who rattled the crossbar? Who had a header blocked by Cech's legs? Who had a perfectly fine goal disallowed? ... Liverpool. True... true it was Chelsea who had the lion's share of possession, but it was Liverpool who were far more positive than them. Chelsea can't win the Champions League even with a half a billion pound side. Liverpool's side is at least 4 times lesser in value, but they get into the Finals 2 times in 3 years, and may win it for the 6th time in the history, 6 times better than Chelsea's record, with also equals... ZERO!
Bloody jokes. "Small club" claimed Jose Mourinho? I liked Steven Gerrard's answer to that, "Two finals in three years, not bad for a
small club,
eh?
". Its so true...
Chelsea, just go and kiss your League Cup. All but lost the English Premier League title to Manchester United, and lost another chance to win the Champions League. FA Cup is all you can add to your League
loser Cup. I didn't make any predictions
'bout that Chelsea match, and Liverpool won!
Yeah...
Exams over. Liverpool in the UCL finals...
Bye~!

Sigh... I really hope tomorrow's Chemistry paper would not be as bad or difficult as
she said it would be. I hope it would be manageable for me and that I can get a decent result for Chemistry. Acids, Bases and Salts have been giving me a little problem today, as the sub-topics are the ones that giving me the problems. I could deal with the main idea. 5 more papers to finish, 4 more subjects to go, 3 days of exams left to suffer!!!
Haha... Can't wait
til Friday at around 1pm plus. I'd be free!!!
Haha yeah...Tomorrow morning at around 4.30am would see whether Liverpool get through to the Champions League Final. They are playing their second-leg semi final game against Chelsea at Anfield, and hopefully Liverpool can score enough to go through. I
really, really want them to get through. It would really make my day a whole lot and probably
inspire me to get through the Chemistry and Geography, plus History and Elementary Mathematics (E Math) exams.
So okay... Hopefully my next blog post, if I'm still alive during the exam period, will be about a winning Liverpool side into the finals at Athens...
Bye~!
