Less than a week and the World Cup kicks off in Germany. The mighty Argentinians start off their group's campaign against African outfit Ivory Coast (don't know the chim spelling, Cote d'..?). This group is this year's World Cup, or this competition's Group Of Death.
Let's check out Group C:
Argentina are the favourites in the Group of Death. They have a tricky first match against the Ivory Coast. Serbia & Montenegro looks like a more difficult match but Argentina should win it. The last match between Holland and them could prove who gets first.
Holland missed the last World Cup. The young side should pick up points against the Serbs. They might not be so lucky and may draw against Ivory Coast. Argentina will prove a big test to allow Marco van Basten to prove that he is a good coach should the Dutch prevail.
Ivory Coast are the side many would think will not qualify. However if they draw against the Argentinians and pull of a surprise victory against the Dutch, the Ivorians might need just a draw to qualify if results go their way.
Serbia & Montenegro are the other side that might not qualify. In order to pull of a surprise, the dark horse of the group have to draw or win against the young Dutch team. They should manage a draw against the Argentinians at the most and a win against the Ivorians could see them go through.
