So Many Goals Again...
Monday, June 19, 2006
The cycle looks to be continued, there was a total of 10 goals scored yesterday night (SG time!). Switzerland got a 2-0 win over Togo. Togo should have taken their chances
lah...But they couldn't and obviously the Swiss had to punish them with a late second from that Barnette.
Ukraine recorded a huge 4-0 thrashing over Saudi Arabia (more goals...). Andrei Shevchenko finally gotten his first World Cup goal. They just couldn't handle the Ukrainian attack and Saudi Arabia just fell apart.
Spain came from a goal down to beat Tunisia 3-1 (another 4...). Struggling Raul found his form as he came on as a half-time subsitutes to equalise. Wunderkid Fernando Torres gave Spain two late goals to seal their second round berth.
Whoa I hope the cycle can be broken and today will have the same number of goals. Now the last round of matches there will only have two matches played on one day
at the same time. This is done as if the four teams, or three, still have the chance to go through, they'll know what they have to do with the result of the other game being played.
