Well there were no shocks in the round of 16, none of the underdogs managed to sneak past the favourites. The Australians, however, all most managed to do so until some Hollywood-style acting from Italian left back Fabio Grosso to win a penalty which Totti converted. Enough of that, now its the Quater-Finals, and every team have a 1-8 chance of winning the World Cup, obviouslyy! Most of the matches should be exciting and should produce a lot of goals.
(4) 1 Germany vs Argentina 1 (2)
Argentina just have to blame themselves. They took the lead and found so much space at the German defences and had a few one-on-ones but did not take it. They took off Crespo and Riquelme, which was quite dumb. The Germans equalise and after 2 hours of football, without Crespo and Riquelme to participate in the penalty shoot-out, Argentina lost.
3 Itlay vs Ukraine 0

Italy thrashed Ukraine 3-0. Shevchenko only have 1 goal in this competition. He says Ukraine need 'someone like Pirlo'. Well Italy stamped their authority in the 6 minute with a Zambrotta goal and Luca Toni put the result beyond doubt with two goals.

As usual only Owen Hargreaves did well the WHOLE match, Frank Lampard couldn't even score a goal with so many shots. They lost on penalties and Cristiano Ronaldo slotted home the decisive penalty.
0 Brazil vs France 1

France beat Brazil again, now in the quater finals. Thierry Henry, as usual, produced the winning goal and the World Champions are knocked out.

South Korea was very unfortunate not to go through. They lost to Switzerland 2-0. The second Swiss goal was controversial. France won 2-0 against Togo. I actually think they'd do better without Zinedane Zidane. He has lost his pace and is now easily tackled off the ball. English referee Graham Poll is the BEST England can produce. And he blundered...LOL!

Holidays Ending...

End of school holidays, beginning of school. Well you think that sounds nice? For me...Err no...sadly. Not this year, cause if there's school's the next day, I can't watch the World Cup the night before! And its going to be the knock-out stages when school reopens. The earliest game for the knock-out phase is 11pm! So if a match's 2 hours, I'll only sleep at 1am, and I'm not able to! Well at least I got to watch the two matches yesterday, Mexico losing 2-1 to Portugal but both still went through, Iran drawing with "no-urgency" Angola 1-1. Kept switching channels from Ch 22 to Ch 27 and back.

Some More Goals!

Well we all know that in any type of team or indivisual sport, its goals that allows the team or an indivisual to win a game in that particular sports, especially in soccer. The World Cup has finally gone two days with goals galore. Yesterday night Germany thrashed fellow Group A qualifiers 3-0. Poland cameback from a goal down to beat Costa Rica 2-1. Both had not qualified for the round of sixteen. England drew with Sweden 2-2. Paraguay overcame Trinidad & Tobago 2-0. You see what I mean, its an average of 3 goals a match, yesterday's average was 3. ... goals. Then the day before's action only produced 5 goals in 3 matches! I hope tomorrow will have the same or better average goals so the "cycle" would stop. The World Cup's meant to be enjoyable and it only will be enjoyed by the fans who are cheering their team on is when there is goals, lots of 'em.

The cycle looks to be continued, there was a total of 10 goals scored yesterday night (SG time!). Switzerland got a 2-0 win over Togo. Togo should have taken their chances lah...But they couldn't and obviously the Swiss had to punish them with a late second from that Barnette.

Ukraine recorded a huge 4-0 thrashing over Saudi Arabia (more goals...). Andrei Shevchenko finally gotten his first World Cup goal. They just couldn't handle the Ukrainian attack and Saudi Arabia just fell apart.

Spain came from a goal down to beat Tunisia 3-1 (another 4...). Struggling Raul found his form as he came on as a half-time subsitutes to equalise. Wunderkid Fernando Torres gave Spain two late goals to seal their second round berth. Whoa I hope the cycle can be broken and today will have the same number of goals. Now the last round of matches there will only have two matches played on one day at the same time. This is done as if the four teams, or three, still have the chance to go through, they'll know what they have to do with the result of the other game being played.

Boring....

Well.....The World Cup is getting a bit boring...There's like a cycle...Example like today's match will have so many goals, then the following day's matches will have very little goals. Croatia's Dario Srna missed a penalty, after Japan's Kawaguchi got down very well to palm the penalty kick away. If Croatia miss out on qualification by a point or two, they might just blame Srna for that vital miss and two points wasted.

Australia got beaten 2-0 by samba Brazil. Adriano got the ball rolling in the second half by scoring after some good footwork and a low pass by the "fat" Ronaldo. Australia had twice the chance to score when one of their players could go one-on-one with Brazil's goalkeeper Dida. Bresciano and Kewell were the guilty parties not to have got pass the defensive Ze Roberto. Dida had dropped a high Roberto Carlos clearing header and Kewell had a wonder chance to score and equalise a few minutes after he came on. He had an open goal in front of him but he blasted it over the bar after pressure from Dida. Fred scored the last but Australia just need a draw to get through.

France are desperate...DESPERATE! Park Ji Sung's late goal gave South Korea the top of Group G. France have to count on a draw on the Togo vs Switzerland match if they want to qualify. A win from either team will lift either above France. Thierry Henry finally scored but a 81th minute goal from Park gave each side a point.

Little Goals, Many Red Cards

So many Red Cards...4 to be exact (it's a lot you know...). Italy got one sent off, USA got two sent off. So violent one, I heard it was a fiery affair. Anyway Italy drew with the USA, Italy should go through and USA still have a chance of going through if they win Ghana on the last day and hope the Czech Republic lose.

Czech Republic were stunned by Ghana. Ghana won with two goals. The first in the 2nd minute. Only Grygera touched the ball to concede the corner. LOL! Ghana had a penalty and Czech got their star defender sent off...another Red Card. But the Ghana player crashed the ball against the post! Petr Cech is a lucky guy, not so lucky later when Ghana added a second to crush the Czech. Woot! Ghana just opened up the group and now even Italy might miss out on qualification. Petr Cech...What happened to him?

Portugal got a convincing win over Angola to seal their place in the last sixteen after Mexico draw the day before. Deco returned and was inspirational in the win, he scored one and Cristiano Ronaldo added a second with a penalty, lucky not crashing the ball against the bar!

Argentina thrashed Serbia & Montenegro 6-0! That's the highest scoring I think. I should have watched the whole match...Crap! I only watched the first half, but it was still three goals. Serbia & Montenegro just suck anyway.

Holland finished Ivory Coast off 2-1. Drogba ah...use hand again, you mean he no skill control the ball with his feet or chest must use hand? LOL! But I'm still happy the Dutch killed off Drogba's Ivory Coast. So Argentina and Holland go through easily. Whose talking about what "Group of Death" ?

Angola pro. Draw with Mexico. Don't believe the Mexican's can't even find a net. The Angola keeper is without a club! So no football before the finals and still can only let in one goal from the last match, against Portugal.

There's some last minute drama again...WHAT? I can't really believe it. Its not that important on yesterday's matches. But there were some matches which were really good. I feel Ecuador could be the surprise package if they beat Germany in their last game. They could top the group! I wouldn't have believe that. They thrashed Costa Rica 3-0! Costa Rica only got their real attack at the 84th minute if I'm not wrong, believe that... If they really beat Germany they might be the South Korea or Turkey of 2002 Korea-Japan.

Now the last minute drama, England ALMOST went down 1-0 to Trinidad and Tobago after a header towards the goal from near range but John Terry managed to clear it off the line acrobatically, at least one Chelsea man is doing something right. Not like FRANK LAMPARD, he's run into the box were very poor in the first half, and he could not even hit the target when Owen layed a ball at the edge of the 6 yard box....6! Crouch headered a goal in and Gerrard again beat Shaka Hislop with a long range effort in injury time, something like the FA Cup final against West Ham and Gerrard beat Hislop again.

Sweden got the lucky break when Ljungberg headed a goal in the 89th minute, Paraguay are definitely out. If they had drawn it, Paraguay would have looked more likely to go through as they faced T & T and should have won, while Sweden faced England and Rooney will definitely be fielded by Eriksson. Sweden are lucky nuts.

Saudi Arabia sad case, so little time left after equalising and scoring another goal in the 84th minute, they concede in injury time...Well Tunisia were never going to give up...

Injury time drama again, Oliver Neuville scored the winner from another subsitutes Odonkor in the 92 minute. They actually deserve it lah, hit the post.

Ukraine = Low on Confidence. Spain thrashed them 4-0 in their first match. That was a very good match! I like'd it! So many goals. 4 is a lot goals. Its not basketball! Liverpool PRO Xabi Alonso got a good downward textbook header. Not bad he doesn't usually score with his head. David Villa got a deflection, a big one too. Goalie actually went correctly but just couldn't save. Harsh penalty against Ukraine and got red carded, their defender. He didn't even touch Torres, red card? LOL! Villa scored again. The best goal, Fernando Torres. Great build-up play but the Spanish after a interception. Woot~ 4-0....

Drying Up?

So 4 goals in total in 3 matches. That's pretty bad. France DISAPPOINTED me. Thierry Henry and Franck Ribery CAN'T finish for nuts. 0-0 against Switzerland! They had about 3 chances, all made by superb passes by Zinedane Zidane. Sianz...

Korea came back....after a red card to Togo's captain. What do you think? Only after Togo were 10 men they scored through a freekick and Ahn Jung Hwan scored a long range effort. Why didn't he play from the start? LOL...

Brazil played at night, not very hot like the afternoon. They only managed 1 goal against Croatia. Ronaldo, Adriano, Ronaldinho <---what happened to them? Only Kaka managed a goal. I hope the goals aren't drying up...

Finally the World Cup have springed to life. Not even the heat could dampen Australia's morale and spirits as they searched for an equaliser against Japan, who had scored a controversial goal. Japan took the lead when Takahara floated a ball in and Mark Schwarzer was fouled, couldn't reach the ball. The fourth official's monitor, which spots everything and tells the referee if anything's amidst, was not working. Unbelievable. Anyway two inspirational subsitutions by Guus Hiddink gave Australia the win and three points. Cahill and Aloisi came on. Cahill scored the equaliser after some goal mouth scramble, Australia's first goal in the World Cup. He scored what looked to be the winning goal after the ball rattled the post in. But Aloisi dribbled pass a tired Japanese defence line and managed a third. Australia's first win in the World Cup.

Czech Republic 'thrashed' USA 3-0. Jan Koller got that goal with a nice header. It was nice really. So typical of a striker so big. USA was so so so unlucky when Reyna's shot rattled the bar. Dammit. Rosicky scored a wonderful goal and added another one late in the game. Woo Czech looks strong.

Italy got two pass Ghana and are placed 2nd in their group behind Czech Republic on goal difference.

More Goals, At Least...

Holland got 1 goal only...and it was the only goal. No surprise though it was at 3pm in Germany. The heat was taking its toll. Robben got a good goal and could have added two more with curling efforts. I felt he should have crossed more instead of going solo.

Mexico got more goals, 3. Iran managed 1 goal. So there were 4 goals total! Coz....its in the late afternoon...Mexico's first goal was SO EASY. The Iranian goalie, instead of trying to save a CLOSE range effort, he raised his hands to get an off side...How dumb.

Portugal only managed 1 goal. Against ANGOLA! And it was played around after the Mexican match. So it'll be even cooler!!! 1 Goal..don't see why there's so much criticism around England when Paraguay's a much better opponent then Angola...

England first match of the 2006 World Cup wasn't against Paraguay, it was partly against the Mexican referee. That guy ah give so many fouls and keep disrupting the game. There was only one goal...and it was an OWN goal...So sianz, the referee like cockeyed liddat. Well at least the Paraguay side attacked and pressurized the England team for the second half.

Trinidad & Tobago got a 0-0 DRAW! Wow...And they were down to 10 men right after the 1st min of the second half against the mighty Sweden. Sweden have the likes of Ibrahimovic and Larsson but just couldn't find the net. They brought on Kallstorm for a defender and continued pressurizing the a poor Trinidad & Tobago defence. The Caribbean country held on and Shaka Hislop, their goalie, should be very happy. England only need another win to go through, and its against T & T.

Argentina scored two goals and Ivory Coast were very unfortunate not to get anything from the game. They managed a goal back in the 82 minute by Didier Drogba and pressurize the opponents goal but could not find a draw. So sad.

World Cup's Begin!

Woot~ The World Cup started today morning, as in 12am today! I watched the Germany vs Costa Rica match. Germany won 4-2 but I only watched the first half, needed to sleep. I didn't believe that Ecuador would have beaten Poland 2-0! Shock Result!!!

Today there'll be my favourites England playing Paraguay! And Sweden playing Trinidad & Tobago. I hope England will win....OBVIOUSL-Y!

This guy's amazing. He can dazzle the crowd with his wonderful playing ability. He can produce long shots and even goals out of nothing. England's World Cup chances rely heavily on this person. He's only 19 and he's playing at the World Cup. This person is none other than Wayne Rooney.

But the best thing about this guy is...his foot! His foot's gaining a lot of interest as it was injured and might have ruled him out of the World Cup. Now after his scan, however without confirmation medical reports, he's FIT to play AFTER the Group Stages. ?Meaning Crouch to start with Owen? So I should think all England fans would be pretty please with the scan.

WC G06 Countdown: 1 Day

OH YEAH! Its just tomorrow!!! I can't wait...However sadly I have to go for Chinese tuition in the afternoon...dammit...can't gear up for the first game. 1 DAY!!! Although I'm an England fan and I'm so happy Rooney "can" play after the Group stages, I'm still going to stay up and catch some Germany vs Costa Rica action. You know....you just gotta check out the first match whoever's playing. I watched France vs Senegal in 2002 World Cup's first game, and believe me....Woot~ Senegal won!!! Could Costa Rica pull something like that off? Now, Spain will play Ukraine in the first Group H game. Both are talented teams and it should be a high-scoring affair.

Let's check out Group H:
Spain are dubbed the World's biggest underachievers. Their biggest achievement in a World Cup is fourth place. They'll have a tough game against Ukraine and might draw. Tunisia would be easier opponents and should see them triumph. They should be able to get a few goals pass Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia always do not do well when they face European teams. To gain a surprise qualification, they need to win against Tunisia, which would not be easy. They also need to gain valuable draws against Ukraine or Spain, which would be very, very difficult.
Tunisia should be able to pull of a shock if they're tactically right. A win against Saudi Arabia should help in their attempt to qualify. Tunisia might pull off an unlikely draw if they defend well against Spain. Another draw against Ukraine and they might just go through, surprisingly.
Ukraine should be firing in loads of goals as they have Andrei Shevchenko. They will have a tricky game against Spain. A bag of goals should come firing into the back of Saudi Arabia's net in Ukraine's second game. Their last against Tunisia would be more difficult but should prevail.

I can't believe it. It's only 2 days left to football's biggest tournament, the World Cup. 2 days is as good as tomorrow tomorrow, most people would say, or the proper English, it would be the day after tomorrow. But in any case its stil 2 days!!! 2002 World Cup fourth-placed South Korea will face debutants Togo to start off their group, Group G. It could really be a tight game and Korea will be looking to repeat their fairytale performance in 2002!

Let's check out Group G:
France, 1998 World Cup champions, will face Switzerland again, after facing them in qualifying! They could have the edge and win the game. France might draw against South Korea if they do not perform to their best. A win should emerge from their last game against debutants Togo.
Togo are not the team many would bet on to qualify. A draw might emerge against South Korea. But they face a trickier game against Switzerland and if their lucky, they might just nick the 3 points. Togo could pull off a victory against France, like what Senegal did in 2002.
Switzerland's FIRST game against France could decide who finishes top of the group. Their next game against Togo should see them win it. South Korea are much difficult opponents for them, and if they had lost their first game against the French, THIS could decide who qualifies.
South Korea, 2002 World Cup semi-finalists, should gain a victory over Togo, but they could struggle. A draw might be the most they can get out of the France game. Switzerland could prove tough opponents and the game could go either way.

Woot~ 3 more days...Can't wait. I think I might stay up until 1am on Friday to watch the opening first half. But I'm afraid the Opening Ceremony might be the event that starts at 12am, stated on the TV guide. 32 long and painful years since Australia made a World Cup appearence, they never scored during that particular one. So they'll be hoping to improve dramatically this time round, they'll start their quest against 2002 World Cup co-host Japan. It would be a very balanced game, I guess...~Counties in Group F~
Let's check out Group F:
Brazil would most likely take top spot, with the second up for grabs for the other three. The Brazilians would win against Croatia, but the Croats would not make it easy for them. Australia and Japan could be a tricky opponent, but Brazil should triumph in both matches.
Australia, under Guus Hiddink, have a tricky game against Japan, but should win, just. Brazil are much tougher opponents and a draw is the most they can hope for, which is highly unlikely. The game against Croatia might just decide which other team goes through.
Japan would find it very difficult to qualify. They would need to win against Australia, and a draw might be the most likely result. They have, in the past, played well against Brazil and might nick something. Croatia would be tough opponents and it might go either way.
Croatia could qualify if they can draw against Brazil in their first game. The next against Japan should see them win it, at the worse draw it. Australia could be slightly tougher opponents and Croatia might just nick it in front of 'em and reach the 2nd round.

I had just read about a news on England and their World Cup. They'll be travelling to Germany tomorrow, I think. And the most surprising thing I read about was...no it wasn't Jermaine Defoe travelling. It was that there would be 200 set of kits being brought to Germany...sorry that wasn't the shock.

It was that each World Cup England player would have 6 pairs of soccer boots allocated to them. Whoa!!! 6 pairs of boots for each of 'em. It's crazy. These England players are having the time of their lives there... So it'll be like... 6 X 23 ... around 138 pairs of soccer boots on the plane going to Germany... Woo....

WC G06 Countdown: 4 Days

Four more days, just four!!! I can't believe it. I used to watch cable and always see the World Cup advertisements. It'll be like "8 Months More" or something liddat and I would be so sian knowing how long it would be. But now its just FOUR! 4! The Americans and Czechs will have the honour playing the first game...of their Group, E. Its known this group is the second Group of Death. It'll be a very tight Group E opener, I guess...

Let's check out Group E:
USA won't have an easy time in this Group. They have a very tight game against the Czechs, and might struggle to pull of a victory. The Americans might actually prevail over Italy if the Italians are complacent. Ghana are no easier opponents and the points might go anyway.
Czech Republic are "first-timers" at this competition. They'll have enough quality to see off the Americans. Ghana is an unknown team to many and might surprise them. Italy will most probably be victory over the Czechs.
Italy are the obvious favourites for first place. However, the Italians are known for their boastfulness and cockyness. They should prevail over the Ghanians. 3 more points should be added when they face USA. The game against Czech Republic could decide who finishes first.
Ghana are slight underdogs. They are relatively unknown to many teams. They have enough quality to draw against the Italians. A win might happen against the Czechs. The Americans would be a little easier than Czech and the win could go either way.

Woohoo! Its only five days to the World Cup! I like doing all this soccer thing. Fun, I guess...So those countries looking good? Just heard Trinidad & Tobago got a beating from fellow WC debutants Czech Republic...Nedved must have been inspirational in that win. Now the Mexicans and Iranians start off Group D. Iranian could pull a shock...

Let's check out Group D:
Iran, the dark horses of Group D, could pull off a shock if they beat Mexico in their first game. A loss against Portugal might not be too bad, a draw would be superb. And if they can win, and should do, against minnows Angola...they might just go through.
Mexico are the favourites for second, behind Portugal. They have a tough tie against Iran in their first game and should struggle for a win. Angola would prove easier opponents and maximum points should be added. The match against Portugal could prove who tops the group.
Portugal are strong favourites for the first spot. They should finish off Angola in style. They then have tougher tie against Iran, but should pull of a victory. Mexico are much tougher opponents and another win or a minimum draw should be expected of the Europeans.
Angola have little chance of qualifying. Angola should probably lose against Portugal. They then have to recover and win against Iran. Their last game against the Mexican could prove the decisive factor and an unlikely win could see them through.

Crazy Weather...

What the ****'s wrong with Singapore's weather? Can't it be fixed for the whole day? Or even half? Its totally crazy. The late morning 'til afternoon is so hot that, you'll need at least a fan two inches or less away from you to keep you cool. I checked the temperature of Singapore and at one time, it was a startling 34 degrees celcius! Then in the afternoon it either continues to get hotter and hotter, or...the craziest part is...It gets cooler and cooler and cooler, very cool. It starts to rain. And the Sun is as good as out of sight 'coz of the rain.

I hope the weather will change for the better, be cool all the way, or hot all the way...not so hot though, and not just keep changing when ever it likes. I was feeling so hot in the late morning and now so cool in the late evening.

England thrashed lowly Jamaica at Old Trafford!!! There were six goals and all were at England's side (damn pro~). Lampard got one goal, he score like so easy liddat. Just pass like someone was in the net for him to aim at. An OWN GOAL by what Jamaica's Taylor after a Beckham freekick. Dunno what the hell what Terry claiming the goal???!?! He wasn't even near it, shows how desperate people can be to claim goals and fame, especially that guy. Crouch got a goal from another Beckham corner. He flicked it down and it hit some Jamaican and everyone was like own goal own goal, but c'mon lah give Crouch the goal lah. Owen got a very nice one...beat the off side trap and round the goalkeeper. I was like thinking please score don't miss, well he did so I was relieved.

Crouch got another one during the 2nd half as he tapped in a run-cross from clubmate Jamie Carragher. He missed a penalty! WT*! He fluked it and lobbed it over the bar! SianZzZz...He still got his hat trick when Owen's square pass found him and he scored it by curling it round the keeper to the net!

England 6-0 Jamaica. Crouch: 3 Goals....

WC G06 Countdown: 6 Days

Less than a week and the World Cup kicks off in Germany. The mighty Argentinians start off their group's campaign against African outfit Ivory Coast (don't know the chim spelling, Cote d'..?). This group is this year's World Cup, or this competition's Group Of Death.
~Countries in Group C~
Let's check out Group C:
Argentina are the favourites in the Group of Death. They have a tricky first match against the Ivory Coast. Serbia & Montenegro looks like a more difficult match but Argentina should win it. The last match between Holland and them could prove who gets first.
Holland missed the last World Cup. The young side should pick up points against the Serbs. They might not be so lucky and may draw against Ivory Coast. Argentina will prove a big test to allow Marco van Basten to prove that he is a good coach should the Dutch prevail.
Ivory Coast are the side many would think will not qualify. However if they draw against the Argentinians and pull of a surprise victory against the Dutch, the Ivorians might need just a draw to qualify if results go their way.
Serbia & Montenegro are the other side that might not qualify. In order to pull of a surprise, the dark horse of the group have to draw or win against the young Dutch team. They should manage a draw against the Argentinians at the most and a win against the Ivorians could see them go through.

Less Significant Weekend

Well apart from the previews and everything about the anticipated up-coming World Cup that you see on me blog, I'm now going to give you some inside into my first weekend of the June School Holidays.

Its been a nice five days or so relaxing and enjoying at my comfy home. I'm the usual kinda guy who always uses the computer or watch the tv. It beats going to school and day-dreaming in those boring lessons all the time (oops...). Now this weekend will be less significant to me as it'll be another day without school, you know. If it was a schooling weekend then I would feel so good that its the weekend so that I could unwhine. I still 'treasure' these weekends as there are - sorry not again! - Football on TV.

Its going to be England, my favourite country and rooting for in the World Cup, vs Jamaica (yaman!). So I'm obviously going to enjoy that. And maybe switch the tv once in awhile as there is Ms USA Universe on another channel in cable...heehehee (not sick though~)

Gonna Enjoy 'em, you should too....

WC G06 Countdown: 7 Days

Its only about 7 days, or a week, left before the World Cup starts! England will start off Group B with their match against South American side Paraguay (not Uruguay as many mistaken) in the Frankfurt Stadium. Don't be surprised if Paraguay pull a trick or two!
~Countries in Group B~
Let's see the Group B:
England will go into these group as obvious slight favourites. They should have a win against Paraguay and an easy victory over minnows Trinidad & Tobago. Their last match against Sweden could well decide who finishes top of the group.
Sweden should be the team most likely to advanced, in first or second. The Swedes will have an easy first game against Trinidad & Tobago. They might have a more difficult time against the Paraguay side but should pick up the points. A draw against England should see them go through.
Paraguay need to at least gain a draw against favourites England. A win or another draw against the Swedes and a win over Trinidad & Tobago might see them pip either the Swedes or the English for the qualifying spots.
Trinidad & Tobago have little chance of qualifiying. If they are to have a SURPRISE qualification, the team must draw against Sweden. They will lose against England. A win over Paraguay and good results elsewhere could see them through.

Its about a week and a day before the World Cup officially starts in Germany. The starting ceremony and the first match will be in Munich's Allianz-Arena, my favourite German club, Bayern Munich's stadium. And obviously its going to be the host nation vs "~the other team~". So Costa Rica's going to have the honour of playing the first game against Germany.

~Countries in Group A~
Let's see the Group A:
Germany should go through without any much of a scare. The inexperience Germans should pick up points from an easy tie against Costa Rica and a little bit harder game against Ecuador. Poland might be a threat to them, anyone could win it.
Poland should be second best to Germany in the finishing of the Group. Points picked up against Costa Rica and Ecuador, plus a point or three against Germany would do it for the Poles.
Costa Rica have to at least draw against Germany or Poland and win at Ecuador to see if they have any chance of qualifiying.
Ecuador might pull of a surprise and if they beat Poland in their first game. They should pick up points against the Costa Rica side and a draw against Germany.

I'm Back!!!

My mini one-night 'renovation' of my blog is finished, but things will be added if I see necessary or deleted too. I finished it from 10+pm to 11.23PM (officially!! no joke). Might be more of these 'renovs' soon.
